Gruff
I agree, I didn't know what to think when I first heard the story but I have to accept Gruff's account given that he is the master of the universe and leader of all things pure and good.
DQ
It is well documented that David Quantick cannot stand Morrissey, he has always used his columns/magazine pieces to find a way to have a go at Morrissey. I remember his Select column BITD seemed to mention him every other month in a negative way. This debate regarding the "racism" is getting boring, but not nearly as boring as David Quantick's continual hate campaign. Get over it DQ.
t&c
I loved that venue BITD, I thought it was now a dodgy nightclub. Good news.
....
Where is Leeds Academy? Or have they just re-badged an exisiting venue?
So...
When are this lot going to disappear?
BSP
But they love Leeds so i'm happy....
Tour
There mus be something lined up as they're playing the Irish Centre in Leeds in Jan or Feb, can't quite remember.
SFA
So some other people heard the George Lamb "interview" when SFA went into the hub on 6. I too would like to know SFA's feelings about this horrid man... and hear hear for getting mountain people back into the set.
SFA....
Gruff is so fit I could cry....
re-release
Isn't this a re-release of their first single from the album? Its the first Howling Bells song I ever heard.
mansun's first single
I have that too when they were called Manson... and that white vinyl skin up pin up. I have most of their stuff on vinyl (apart from Kleptomania) so this CD/DVD combo is very welcome.
wishful thinking
I took one look at the article and album title and thought these animal men had reformed and were doing stuff... I was quite disappointed when I realised that this was not the case.
Isobel Campbell
I heard that the Isobel Campbell/Mark Lanegan album will be up, but there is uproar because he's American. It was my understanding though that the songs (apart from the covers) were Isobel's so I can't understand the problem.
Also Primal Scream and PJ Harvey have won it and they're not ruined.
Jim Noir to be nominated!
tightos
Illegally downloading does not bother me as generally people that do this are music fans and will probably also buy their fair share of music and get to more gigs. What really bothers me is people asking to borrow my cds so they can copy them, tight gits....
Gryff
Hate to be girlie, but is he not the most beautiful man.......
Hurrah
Already have my tickets for the London Calling gig in Amsterdam, should be a good weekend what with the Long Blondes playing as well....
Hurrah
I used to love all saints, I remember going to see them at Hull Ice Arena back in the day. They plopped all over the spice girls. I liked Appleton as well though and have the Shaznay album. Im sorry.
zzzzzz
It may be that im getting on a bit, but I cannot get excited about them at all and they seem to be up their own arseholes. "We don't want to be the next kaiser chiefs, we don't want to appear on top of the pops".... and so on. Miserable, ungrateful sods.
Brudenell
You can tickets (now on-line from Jumbo records), although their mark-up to £7 is extortionate, given that the ticket should cost £5.50....
9 black alps

Whoooo

Logic....
I love Logic so much, especially as I met my fiance at a Stills gig at Joseph's Well in Leeds BITD. I have not got exctited about anything Stills related after this album i'm afraid.
