cool
the last album was great, look forward to hearing this one!
most of the albums are ropey
but they'd make a hell of a 'Best Of'
cat wins!
flawless victory

Super Furry Animals
line-up
Dirty Projectors and El Guincho have cancelled. merde.
after a couple of listens...
yeah, this doesn't have the standout uptempo, catchy tracks of the first album to grab the attention, but even on a couple of plays it's a very good album overall.
Homemade
Bone - not bong. it's about, er, self-entertainment...
yeah
as in no... i didn't spot anything new either, on the saturday at least. didn't bother watching again on sunday (tho they were great)
tasty
they made some pretty good choices - if they'd successfully got jawbreaker, NMH and unwound to reform as well as polvo... wow! they were long shots, but display good taste.
at least
it's a three-strikes warning system, rather than a "you're going straight to prison" scenario! i guess if you get a warning letter, better stop it!
presumably
the astoria gig needing an extra band is the more pressing issue... i'm more disappointed about ATP tho as that's the one i'm going to, it'll probably just mean that another band from lower down EITS' wishlist gets a call.
yeah, but
not at all amusing news :(
me too
Rather Ripped was rather good.
That third album
being the 2nd album (as far as i know) called Pride, as stated in your review... it's pretty good too. wish he'd tour with a band though, rather than just solo (even though he was quite good with akron)
...
i'd forgotten how much good stuff had come out this year til i read this, i have 16 of the main list, still intend to pick up a few of the others, and found myself agreeing with a large number of the should've-been-there's: shellac, DMST, bjork, menomena, interpol, enon, spoon, mice parade, dirty projectors, akron/family, pissed jeans...
so, yeah. a lot of good albums in 2007!

Swan Lake's Dan is Dan from Destroyer/New Pornos, not Dan from Wolf Parade.
