i like this interview. i love kim deal. i met her a few years back at reading when the breeders played and embarrassed myself.typical. she was as awesome as you'd expect.
ditto
they released some awesome stuff... obviously hifh, but i'll also not forget the first time i heard an emergency either.
true to that magic numbers cover
one of the msot horrible things ever, and i'm considering everything ever there.
tbh i prefer the manics one to the biffy one, but then i generally prefer manics to biffy. the biffy one scarily earnest, whereas the manics are more conscious that it's just a big pop song. (like most of there recent stuff)
yes indeed
i think there is a little lull when you get over the initial epic-ness, but then it gets better and better. the guitar solo type thing in 'open the door' is probably my favourite bit. it's just great generally.
the 'thirty minute jam'
was probably brilliant. it has been every time i've seen them do it. it's fine that you don't like them. onslow's just trying to be nice and make your life better by opening you up to their brilliance.
also, this AF comparison thing has only come about on this album, so isn't it just stemming from lazy journalism/comment on the fact that they recorded in canada with a guy who produced AF? i do like both bands, but they are different...
hmmm
one of my mates said this as a compliment, and my response to you is the same as to him: "really?"
i think it's ace, and i like the added swooshiness on the new album generally.
this
is very good news. indeed.
but still
one of the best furries albums in years, apparently not one of the best fifty albums this year. this makes me think: these albums must be AWESOME.
not really a question, but
when you played keep the cosmic trigger happy in oxford it was one of the highlights of my life.
(i just feel they should know that...)
thirded
it's not uniformly amazing, it has quite a lot of moments where it doesn't really engage me
i used to see them the whole time
with the likes of hundred reasons etc. something's clearly changed, cos they were shit back then
hmmm
i used to think the same... then i actually listened to their stuff, rather than just the first (inevitably silent) twenty seconds of each track...
adverts
which adverts have they been used on? i must have missed them, despite my gargantuan tv watching efforts.
also, the go! team are just awesome.
