In terms of actually great cider places
that aren't full of knobs or students, you can't beat the Cotham Porter Stores and the Orchard down by the docks.
Got most of it in there
missed out Plastic Wax Records on Cheltenham Road. Amazing place.
b) It's Jo and Danny
yeah
I'd agree with the comparison between Zoomer and Apologies
only California Dreamer really stands out for me on Mt Zoomer.
Best Krug related track: Fancy Claps. By a street.
Is that a direct quote?
I suspect I'll go to this
a) Grasshopper
...
I need to spend some more time with it
but my first impression is a 7/10 too.
Yep
as said Vanishing Point and (particularly) Xtrmntr are brilliant. Bits of Evil Heat is decent too. They have done some rubbish though. They've had a funny career. I quite like how unpredictable they are.
Apart from the music that he clearly listened to
which is what a review should be based on -
I'm sure this is a really old song
I've got it on a bootleg somewhere
Yeah
I'm very confused about this whole thing. I also assumed this was the Archie Bronson lot
I've seen her a few times in Bristol over the years
(having had people rave about her) and this review sums up everything I've ever thought about her music. Thank you.
Wow
may have to do the Thekla here
Did Steve tell you that?
Steve
I think
they're trying to play every venue in Bristol. Colston Hall next.
This one is better
the first is a bit predictable/mainly singles
I'd like to point out
that I also started a thread
Yes
keep it up!
I don't think
George Bush has had a particularly bad year.
I like the track listing
though I would love to hear her do a version of Kommienezuspadt
Why do they need 'approval'?
Dickheads
I know you need permission
but I don't see why you would be seriously fucked off. No one noticed for 8 years.
Go and see Munch Munch people
so much fun
I think it's on its way
written by Mr Brainlove I believe
Trinity 'Theatre'
when did that happen?
Bloody Academy
see you there!
I think we need clarification
on how these bars are supposed to be?
I didn't go to Field Day
but having read a lot of comments about it I feel like I did. I really don't like this attitude that because some people had a good time (I suspect making the best of a bad situation) and the line up was good that peoples' complaints are invalid.
Yep
they're generally pretty good too. Comfy seats. And Polish beer.
Mansun
please. And Terris.
Is that Thom Yorke's brother?
Andy Yorke that is, Unbelievable Truth chap
This is one of the worst songs
I have ever heard
*Treefingers aside
the title track is brilliant
I haven't heard Girl Talk or Spank Rock
but I know all the others are much better
Don't listen
to all this rubbish about seeing them live. They are as dull. Just louder and harder to ignore. But I wouldn't go anyway Daniel, their fans will rip you to shreds!
They seem to just be another band that has a bunch of fans that take every criticism of the band as some personal insult and have no ability to argue objectively - hence the number of people on here with posts only defending the band/attacking the reviewer.
And the music also just screams of safe, marketable 'rock' music for people who buy five albums a years and claim 'they can't live without music'.
They've been supporting other bands I've seen
I got dragged along with friends who know them etc.
I find his voice to be devoid of any emotion or soul whatsoever.

I was going to say this
think that should be Cody, they are similar.
