i think the main problem with music magazines is that there not neutral any more a journalist would go out and write about a band they liked rather than who was put forward. now if your a band looking for your big break in a music magazine to have to work with the right pr and media companies be with the right labels gone are the days of sending a demo into NME and getting them at your gig. you have to jump through a lot of hoops.
however the underground diy magazines are doing great they don`t have a corporate agenda and will say if an up and coming band is rubbish instead of making them Gods. the websites like dis are in the same spirit of the underground websites and are easier to get your name known they tend to be able to see a new trend in music before anyone else because there on the grass roots level.

there not clever there just sly why should normal people have to pay more then the original price just because some person has bought 100 tickets and the fan who have saved up all year to get a ticket losing out because he can`t afford the touts rates. what these touts on`t realise is a load of Glastonbury is done for charity and non of the extra money made by the tout will never get back to the charity

when an artist has a a bad trumra and cancels like normal people

get money off there gigs was a big reason as well as new label management alot of bands live off what they make on live tours and while there not not making much when the singles and albums are not out they use the money from tours to pay bills
know it has no relvance to muti millionaire the stones but still band who are just breaking onto the big time are still struggleing after they have repayed there advance

they should stop giving obscene amounts of money to one hit wonders reality TV show contestants and washed up has beens(that just majors in general not just emi) and should help out smaller indie labels who work grass roots level to help future oasis and artic monkeys then when the bands are big enough to go on a major label the bands will remmber what the labels did to help them out when they started.

i rember when i bought a ticket ages ago and had to wait untill the new date

the same has happend to places in boro we we lost the Arena which was a great venue bands such as nivana played there it was also a refuse from the death of brit pop.now some as well a few places which would have made great live music venues have been knocked down to make flats and our cultual quarter has gone.
people of London if you have a chance to save a venue do it there will other places to shop but you don`t want to lose your music venues

i think mp3`s are a lot easyer for bands to sell there singles if your spending forever burning cd`s to sell off your site it would be alot more easyer to sell downloads where you don`t have to create a pyscal product and it seeems a few bands are entering the charts on pure downloads alone (even geting to number 1)but there is still a place from cd`s as alot of people have found out who like records
