roddy isn't the fantastic lyricist or folk musician he perceives himself as. i love pretty much everything idlewild have recorded, but roddy really does seem to think he's a lot better than he actually is.

i'm at connect for both the scottish dates... this would kick the arse of anything at connect too.

there was a vaguely similar article to this in this month's rock sound, but i'm guessing it would almost definitely be a better idea to check out the bands recommended by DiS... thank you mr diver!

of course, it's entirely possible that i just have awful taste, but i think it's a definite progression from the last album and it has some really cracking songs.
it was brilliant live too, most enjoyable gig i've been to in a while.
