I think it's worth travelling down from Aberdeen for, so I've ordered my tickets.

After all these years (1979), I still think that Systems of Romance is the greatest mesh of guitar and synth ever recorded.

Lordy!

Just when I think End of the Road cannot get any better

Tindersticks for me..

...in the event of a clash with Calexico. I am so fucking happy.

Too Pure

Phew! The Singles Club has produced some amazing slices of 7" heaven this year.

EOTR

I've ordered my tickets as it's a fantastic festival.

Truck soured (a little)

The Truck atmosphere was soured for me this year by being camped too close to a bunch of arseholes that were eventually evicted from the campsite by security on Sunday. What fucked me off most was that they were still allowed to watch the rest of the festival but just not to camp.

It'll be back

Like Dr Who before it, the show has become jaded but after a breif haitus the BEEB will realise what a bankable comodity the brand 'TOTP' was and reinstate it in one form or another.

Balls

There may be a twang in the music but lyrically they are British through and through. Balls is fucking brilliant. Buy it.

Sounds like...

Tompaulin.

Franz, Skinner and Robert Smith triumph at the Ivors

Nope, I read it as Frank Skinner too. I just hope you're as old as me.

Motormark

The Singing Kettle are pure evil.
Motormark are from Kircaldy in Fife, not Glasgow.
They are brilliant and are playing the Truck festival this year. They're also playing in London with Alec Empire in a couple of weeks time.

The (mighty) Pipettes: they do more gigs

The Pipettes are playing the Barfly on 1st May too as part of Track and Field's POW alldayer.

The House Of Love - Days Run Away

Christ I thought it was a new Belle and Sebastian album when I saw the cover!

Edwyn Collins very ill

All the best Edwyn. If you need cheering up, just listen to your own and OJ's "You can't hide your love forever" and relive the "Sound of happiness". If there are any Indie fans out there who haven't heard this seminal album then go get it and be very happy.

2005 will be a very good year: the ultimate album preview (part 2)

Some useful info. In 2005 a band will release an album we've all been waiting for and it will be very good. A horse will also win the Derby but it will be a different horse from the one that wins the National.

P.S. The Broken Family Band's "Welcome Home Loser" is out in Feb. I've heard it and it's magnificent.

The Broken Family Band - Welcome Home, Loser

Welcome Home Loser is an incredible album and everone should own it. It's out officially in Feb and they are touring the release. Anyone who saw them at Track and Field's Winter Sprinter knows how good the new material is but on the album Tim Victor's banjo just adds that something for this album to achieve true greatness. But then I'm a believer already and someone out there will hate it for sure. My wife recently told Mr Adams how much she loved the album and his reply was "What? Even the last song?"

Truck 2005! Ticket Info!

Truck 2004 was great but those bloody wasps stung my poor wife four times in as many seconds. Bastards. We'll be there again though.

Saves the Day - In Reverie

I'm confused too as I'm sure I bought this from my local record shop at least 12 months ago. Maybe I've got an import copy I don't know. Oh yeah and it is complete shite. Stay What You Are was full of great pop tunes, which just did enough to compensate for the the grating voice of the singer but In Reverie just grates.

The Radio Dept. - Lesser Matters

I saw them twice earlier this year and was very impressed but only got around to buying the album last week and now I'm very, very impressed.

Futureheads scotch Scotland

Better get down to 1-UP and get my money back then. That's £14 to spend on beer instead. Result.

Mobos: not homophobic, but are they racist?

"How many jewish rappers are there anyway?"
At least one. Soce The Elemental Wizard is Jewish and gay.

The Broken Family Band - Jesus Songs

Don't know about Truck but they are playing the Cambridge Folk Festival this year.
