They had insurance, and they're all a bunch of fashionistas
hopefully they spend on a big UK tour! Amirite guys?!
This isn't minimal at all
its relentlessly melodic and structured.
I like it a lot, maybe more than this bliss even.
yes please
...
First communion single?
Vague platitudinous lyrics?
NO!
field day looks so good
shame the organisation/sound/atmosphere/everything but the line-up, was supposed to terrible for the first two.
they are just really dull and mediocre though
there is no scene but if people start thinking bands like black dice or growing or whoever are "below" fuck buttons that'd be massively depressing.
You might trust their opinions though,
i'm not going to bother listening to this band
london matter which is apparently inside the o2 arena
I have no idea what it's like or anything, do you?
I'm gonna try and go see him though.
...
as never-saw-that-coming wins this summer go, ‘Five Years Time’ settles at second behind ‘Dance Wiv Me’.
howso?
they're both god-awful, they sound like the inverse of good music, exactly what the public want! hark! hark...
kill me.
the problem is you're listening to it on myspace
not having it blasted out at you by a huge PA system.
Gang gang dances new album
eric copeland EP
If AC the album comes out this year
the songs on person pitch aren't songs?
I'm suspecting this band's songs will be songs in the same way the songs on person pitch are songs.
I think just making a reply like this
makes him a dick.
Surely the problem with "faggot" and "pussy" is that it is saying there is something wrong with being effeminate, with not being a hard nut, not being a big bad macho man like joshy.
Comes off as a cunt is all.
My parents like modern techno
my mum complimented my Vladislav Delay CD and my dad said he liked Pantha Du Prince.
It's probably just because it sounds like it could be ambientish background music though, which is less cool.
Is it by any chance
(b) Axel Willner's The Field ?
How in the name of god was this two years ago?
oh man, time flies.
Yeah
who'd have thunk it?
And if anyone has been upset by this review
then they have learnt a valuable lesson in life.
Don't pay attention to reviews. Any attention. Reviews are pointless. Reviewers are pointless.
Still - DvsVcSPD are pretty annoying.
They plainly do care
your sub-analysis isn't really needed. They've been playing SJ songs longer than any other songs in their catalogue.
Because you don't like it doesn't mean they put no effort in and it's insulting to them to say that.
This EP is a beast unto itself and is perfectly fitted together and beautifully flows, they certainely don't sound like outtakes or drippings to me.
I'm so oblivious
ah well, suits me fine.
For the million + 1th time
it doesn't sound like the beach boys.
Anyhows this EP is incredible, seal eyeing and street flash are both so relaxing and beautiful. Water Curses is so energising. Cobwebs is just so damn good.
For the millionth time
it doesn't sound like the beach boys.
He was talking about promoters and stuff
expecting the same thing as all those bands.
I hate to seem like a backlashing ninny
but the only fuck buttons songs i've heard are pretty bad. I think black dice are about 1000 times better. I really reeeally like black dice. Anyhow fuck buttons seems pretty unaspiring to me - pretty really unaspiring. Uhhh.
looking forward to this a lot
I really need to get some more of his albums.
It was actually automine's 7" release
paddington band featuring avey tare, geologist and brendan fowler (BARR) on drums released in 1995 which apparently sold "like 20 or something".
For realsies.
I can't wait to get a hold of this
Manoman is such a good EP it's unreal.
I also have no idea what it would sound like
if it wasn't produced in the way it was. I really think they suit the songs.
It's also nice that aswell as changing the kind of songs they play and make they totally change the feel and texture of the music. You can hear the different production types throughout.

Yeah
I've only seen it once but i'd be hard pressed to give it an 8 although I am really excited to see it again.
My main problem was just with certain parts, the opening I thought was corny and I found the boat scene and the pure visual stuff pretty boring, it seemed a little washed out and indistinct on the thing I watched it on and according to Perez that was as good as it would ever look, so. I really liked the crazy bit just before the eggs and the drum song.
I think one of the main problems was the structure, its in the weird place between being a whole thing and a load of distinct segments (kind of like an album, I guess) musically it was more schizophrenic than most albums are and i'm not sure that sort of structure makes as much sense visually.
Still, i'd give this a solid "good" rating.
