Top 8 albums and all that guff.

The Ascent Of Everest - How Lonely Sits The City
Panic At The Disco - Pretty. Odd.
Bring Me The Horizon - Suicide Season
Ingrid Michaelson - Be OK (even worth the stupid US import price, can't get it over here)
Protest The Hero - Fortress
Rolo Tomassi - Hysterics
Kanye West - 808s and Heartbreak
Lightspeed Champion - Falling Off The Lavender Bridge

Bit of a predictable list.

Although Adam Green is good enough for me.

My 2009 Wish

Regina Spektor to release a new album finally. Then play a gig in my house. Please Jim, fix this for me.

bedding in with a low barrier (like Regina’s early outings)

WRONG.
Begin To Hope > 11:11 > Songs > Soviet Kitsch

My birthday with Bradford Cox would involve

Building a time machine ('cos Bradford can make one in like, 10 minutes with his mad skills) then going back to 1940 and kicking Hitler right in the balls. umm...ball. I think. Anyway, then we'd go to the late 90's and go see the Prodigy and have a RAVE UP! Then we'd go back to my house and eat chocolate cake. mmm....

Congratulations!

You've just written a lyric for Kaiser Chiefs' new album! Please accept your reward of a big bag of self-loathing in my shed.

I really like the Dresden Dolls

Can't really afford this album yet though, might try and get it to review though.

If Hot Chip were half as good at Bestival as they were at T in the Park

They'd still be the best band there, I bet.

The Marling/Middleton Aberdeen gig will be great

A chance to see Laura Marling in a support slot at a -300 capacity venue? Un-frickin-missable.

Wild Beasts!

:(
Also, where were Los Campesinos in all this?

Slipknot.

Two great bands to choose from to see

What a terrible life you lead

(I'm lucky if one good gig a month comes to aberdeen)

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jumping and shouting?

Hardly going to inspire massacres is it?

(insert typical "Avril Lavigne is so shit she'd probably inspire massacres LOL" joke)

Oh great, you miss out aberdeen this time :(

MEANIES!
Make Los Campesinos come to my town dammit!

Describing Kate Nash as a "squawking parrot"?

That's actually just wrong.

Yeah, but we know that's not real, don't we?

It's all made up to suit demographics and votes and stuff. I bet Obama really listens only to Children of Bodom and Fuck Buttons and John McCain is a massive Lil Wayne fan.

Their cover of 'Boys Are Back In Town' is waaay better

seriously, it's on the myspace. Well good.

saROFLcasm

The Cruithne Prize?

(that's the suspected second moon of Earth. I was watching QI earlier.)

ok, here's what I mean:

I want them to play in Aberdeen or Inverness. Hell, even Dundee would do, anywhere I don't have to travel over 4 hours to get to.

Yes!

Maybe they'll actually do a scottish date outside of Glasgow on this next tour!

YES!

:D

This may be the least newsworthy thing to happen ever.

There was some minor thing happen that had no effect on anybody but might've had some effect on some mildly-popular band if something entirely different had happened.

But it didn't.

That interview read as a 9/10 at least

You only had one negative point about the album, and even then you decided it was probably on purpose.

Other than that, good review! Can't wait for the album.

wow, he really does!

Guy also looks like he's doing the Lambeth Walk.

Guy from Elbow looks alot like Ricky Gervais there...

but you have a photo of Emmy The Great, so it's all good.

I wish I was in a band...

anyone need a cowbell player?

are the Blue Oyster Cult still going?

MORE COWBELL!

I would hate to be their NEIGHbours.

because their SHIT.

Wait, that one doesn't work. I stand by it though.

These guys sound like pretentious wankers.

They should be thankful that they were lucky enough to get signed at all, much better bands die having never got a record deal.

So yeah, they're pricks.

There were alot of screaming mums

and 'ironic' teenagers who really actually loved it.

(I saw the last song in order to get a good place for Lightspeed Champion)

I'm a top man!

:D

^not this

Vagina FTW

I NEVER LIKED JOHNNY FOREIGNER.

...no-one will ever find out here...

boo to you!

I haven't actually heard much of his recorded stuff but he was one of my highlights of T in the Park and, especially due to Regina Spektor's presence, I'll definitely be buying this new album.

REGINA SPEKTOR AND BEN FOLDS

YAAAAY.

Why get someone who hates every band to review the festival?

He sounds like a miserable cunt.

Two points about this.

1.) What was Kele Okereke supposed to be jealous of?

2.) "Grow up and learn to be a true man."
What the fuck does that even mean?

So no-one punched John Lydon?

:(
After so long being a symbol of idiotic immature behaviour from 40-somethings, not to mention being homophobic and (possibly) racist, he deserves a good smack.

Part of me wishes Mystery Jets suddenly turned into ninjas

and there was a massive indie 'big-budget hollywood epic style' fight.

That would be AWESOME.

There should be more metal on the list

There's never any metal on it.

Blooddrunk definitely deserves to be on it.

Saw them the day after this at T in the Park

It was absoloutely fantastic. The singalong to The Funeral was totally epic.
