Well done to Dead Fly, supposed to be playing with them in September, looking forward to it. Great to see a band doing so well. Jockrock is full of wankers, they* all HATE my band and it's a regular subject of tirdsome bouts of senseless put-downs.

No-one on there likes to see anyone do well but DFB are a well liked bunch. Good on them, I hope they are well recieved when the album comes out.

Snow Patrol, Franz Ferdinand, and later DDIHC have single handedly managed to put Scotland on the map. Indeed with some fantastic music. If Snow Patrol are in it I reckon they should win.

Final Straw is **FAR** superior to the previous albums.

I've I was pushed I'd say it's between Snow Patrol and The Streets for me.

I've been listening to a lot of HOTS and yourcodenameis:milo. The Lost Riots is lovely. I don't know how the nominees are decided but I would rather see HOTS before Jamelia, for example.

The 'haven't bought the cd but I'm sure a lot of other people did' act that gets my vote would be Robert Wyatt.

And the Zutons are fucking...average.

The Cribs are cool. I saw them in Edinburgh supporting DCFC in February. Liked their stuff.
