interesting insight from this... bret seems like a sound bro.
lol @ the rumours quote.

the new album is simultaneously exciting, hilarious, inpsiring and shite.
i dunno what to make of it yet.
i love some of the stuff about it, but man some of those lyrics and hard to believe.
still better than pretty much anything they've done since pinkerton. apart from maybe a few songs on tba and a couple on maladroit. worth checking out.

"Keighley Road, Ovenden, for nearly four hours.
A nearby service station was closed and the A629"

i think it's pretty clear this happened in the english halifax.
this is a pretty poorly researched and stupid article. way to get he basic facts wrong.
and nodbody's even heard of the american halifax.
unless you got it confused with the one in canada. in which case you're more of an idiot for making the faux-pas of thinking they're the same country.

can anyone explain to me exactly what happened to david cross when he introduced sleater-kinney? did he start doing comedy which people found inappropriate? what exactly was he saying?
i do know that as soon as he came on stage, he asked for some guy called mark with the mohican. unfortunately, that was me, and i missed my chance to get on stage to help film him (with his camcorder) by about 2 minutes. i hate myself. oh well, i was happy enough to meet the guy. but can anybody explain what happened? i don't get it, he's the best comedian ever.

PS. i didn't experience any snobbishness really at ATP. although i was probably too wasted for most of it to realise. but the people i talked to were all pretty similar to me. just well-rounded indie kids. but maybe there's just more of us who embrace our elitism more than others. i know i'm one.

diver and bolt

maybe our friend diver should have learned to queue up for lightning bolt after the first three disappointments.
however, the rude and incorrect fashion in which he describes their music as gimmicky is pretty lame, and unjustified, seeing as they were one of the most incredible bands at the festival, if not thee.
other reviews were good.
