"oh go away"
Only kidding mate, t'was tongue in cheek.
It was more the fact that they're sore about it still.
But fuck it, swings and roundabouts.
Sorry, dooms and shoegazers.
**Breaking news**
World continues to spin on axis.
More as we get it.
That sounds like a pretty genuine illness to me.
Get a couple of albums out of that.
Bless him.
"Lucky, lucky bastards."
Well earned though eh?
HAAS NYONE ROLLED OVER THE KEANE ADVERT BY ACCIDENT?
Not nice.
look at his face.....look at it.....
If it means more people hear his other music then good for him
Besides he has little babies to feed. why shouldn't he take the money? I would.
"Reports of a wholesale return to guitar music à la The Bends is a little wide of the mark"
It just doesn't need to be mentioned, thats all I meant. I'm just sick of it.
Obviously I'm over-reacting but I've been reading Radiohead articles foe over ten years now. And it's always mentioned.
So in summary, I'm a twat.
Ok one point, and it's small
BUT! Can there be some sort of rule that no one can mention that the new album is a return to the fucking guitar driven songs of old.
ITS ANNOYING!!!!!!
and inaccurate.
Like when people say Oasis albums are a return to form.
JUST STOP SAYING IT.
I don't want them to regress. They're are doing fine as they are.
"What's wrong with them?"
Well their attempts at music for a start.
Then theres the hair......ooh the hair....
i think that
they are just like the rest of us. Drink too much occasionally.
Saying that I think I'm borderline alcoholic....
Now more importantly. Is it alkie or alchie or alchy? I think yours is the better of them.
Ex-alkie?
They seem to be enjoying a drink when i saw them. Or have i missed something.....
I love The National.
The first show has Trans Am in it
Which immediately makes it good.
I watched a 'documentary' about them recording country songs in Nashville once.
And they were actually quite funny blokes, seemed reasonable people and liked a beer.
The fact that their day job makes me vomit is besides the point. But they seem to do it for the money. Thats the point of work though....
But sweet jesus the music is bad.
hey come on be fair!
He's had a rough old time. He addicted to gambling, he's, like, all famous and stuff, and he's had a breakdown.
oh who am I kidding.
Have you ever noticed that when celebrities have a few rough months it's always described as a breakdown. Why can't normal people have this? We're just told to cheer up and that things will improve, which they normally do. And you're never drinking too much, you're addicted and need to go to rehab.
Maybe it is shit being famous. If he keeps releasing songs like this he won't have to worry too much longer.
'you' as in the strokes
it was a reference to the comment Crablin made in the article. Just using the same term of 'you'
I was basically saying that if anyone should fuck up a scene it's quite fitting if it be those who allegedly created it.
harmless.....
I mentioned this on the boards about a week ago
To universal indifference.
Which was nice.
Sorry guys, not only did you build the scene, but you're successfully tearing it apart.
Well if you made it why not destroy it?
Besides all that rubbish, I think this a good song.
Whether Dance music will be resurging this year. mmm who knows.
There will always be good music round. Always has been always will. Whether anyone we'll be saying thats its the best thing since birth who knows?
I thought their last album was quite fun to be honest.
Also the 'porn funk' thing I'm sure I heard somewhere that they used to make music for porn films uncredited to make money.
I could be wrong. I often am.
"I feel bad for the fans that they might think something's actually going to happen with Limp."
What hes done there is mistaken the word 'fans' for 'fan' and by 'fan' meant Fred Durst.
Schoolboy error.
I'm enjoying all the serious comments.
But come on,
He looks like he's puking in that photo. Hahaha.
I love Kelis
It's really as simple as that
I'd quite happily talk to Mariah Carey about her ass.
It would brighten my day.
Consider the choice lynnabeth.
Choice 1.
Not see Radiohead this year. Still have wonderful records.
Choice 2.
Going to V festival.
You know you're got the better deal.
Good to see this kind of article, on a wonderful band.
Two complaints though.
1) Kind of barely scratches the surface.
2) No mention of Things We Lost In The Fire. Which I'm confident is against the law, as its a truly mindblowing album.
I love Low.
14 Cinematic Orchestra – ‘Exit Music (For A Film)’
That'll be good.
They always do quality covers
I thought this song could be improved by adding:
"Or are we shit?"
To the title.
Just me?
I got time for him
Have you ever seen him interviewed?
He's funny and quite self-deprecating.
He also got quite a good point.
Seriously, man, there are things you don't joke about.
And I ain't talking breast cancer.
I'm talking Kylie.
You leave her alone now..........
Also 'Confide In Me' one of the most underrated pop songs. etc?
is this a shock?
It's kind of the point of music journalism, right?
man you were there!
What a day that was.
And not made up.
Oh no.
She cancelled,
because she knows I'm currently unavailable and she can't take the heartbreak.
I said to her,
"Look Chad"
"Actually, its Chan"
"Whatever, you have to stop following me around and proclaiming love and stuff like that. I just can't. Ok?"
This happened.
Really.
on this we agree.
worst tv presenter on the box.
I'd rather Philip Schofield and Fern Britton did it then her.
What,
started as a Bloc Party thread is now a discussion of Bedford.
A situation I prefer.
maybe
the suggestion is that there are no fans in London. Only scenesters.
Seriously though, its kind of a refreshing change don't you think?
Everyone plays in London, then nowhere else. I don't remember the Dinosaur Jr reunion stopping in Bedford.
Saying that I've never been to Bedford and I don't plan to.
I'm sure I had a point.......
didin't eddie murphy
actually release some singles in the 80's.
That were not of the good variety.
Danny McFly to leave band?
World Continues To Turn?
More as we get it......
Now,
When are Ash going to quit Ash?
I'd like to know
Well written Diver,
I've been looking forward to seeing this for some time.
Its also good to see something written about this film on here. Its a little outside of the DiS radar but I advise all to listen to some of the artists mentioned in it. The Handsome Family for example have some of the best lyrics I ever had the fortune to encounter.
And if your wondering about Jim White's music try and hear 'Static on The Radio.' A beautiful song.
well,
you are totally full of sleet if you think that.
That is officially the worst pun ever.
rained off?
sorry had to really......
Mama,
Go fetch my gun.
man,
I love Tortoise
well
I'm glad The Diver agrees with me.
I'll see you in hell Mike, apparently its warm. I'll keep a stool at the bar for you...........
...
am I the only one who gets a little hot under the collar when shes on TV. And I mean in the fun way.
Have I lost it? Did I ever have it?
who knows......
Well,
This news of the good variety.
Just please have someone funny or interesting speaking on it. If you've evr heard the planb podcast on a Brighton podcast station it feels like your dying in a Belle and Sebastian convention.
Good work all.
"an emotional terrain that didn't exist before our group did."
Its difficult to even begin to understand how seriously young Bonio takes himself............its beyond my comprehension.......
nice review.
On a dull note you may want to let the programming guy that puntuation is coming up funny in the text that the writers are uploading.
Thank you! I just made the dullest point of the day...........

Your just filling time before the game aren't you?
Trying to distract yourself and such.
God knows I am....
