b) Napoleon III

yay

a) Saint Dymphna

yay

It covers some pretty interesting stuff

but also reads like it's just been put through Babelfish :(

'lol'

Yes!

That whole EP was really good. She emailed me back once too when I emailed in. I've kept it in my inbox like a nerd.

Laverne's

(brief) music career was/is very relevant. Kenickie have inspired Los Campesinos! and numerous other bands DiS readers regularly spaff themselves over.

Brilliantbrilliantbrilliant.

I loved her in Kenickie and she's still ace. Ace.

Srsly

once this is over can you go back to mentioning Burial five times a day instead of fifty five?

Saying that, I do like the album and hope it wins. Shame he's not there.

...

lol

..

"(DiS’s Mike Diver awarded the album a perhaps overly enthusiastic 9/10)"

Ah, nothing like undermining a departing editor eh?

"There's

always been a calypso element to our music" etc etc

.

"Surely you can lay claim to foster any success they ever gain in the UK - due to your position as chief opinion maker within the UK music scene"

lol

How

was this made? Is it all individual pictures or something? I love all the colours and stuff. Great song too.

yay!

amazing.

They're

a bit weak live, but the album should be interesting to see what Bernard Butler does with it.

It's

a bit disappointing really isn't it? They COULD be amazing though given a bit of time.

I'm

excited to hear this.

This ^^.

Probably the smuggest news story I've ever read on here.

It's

just by Cream.

er

right..

Saw

them last night. They were good.

Wow

Thanks for that.

...

So.. er.. was it any good?

^^

.

Hmph.

If DiS were bothered about the organisers responding to the criticism surely the questions should have touched on specific points a bit more rather than giving them vague questions they can wriggle out of easily? It's not like punters criticisms aren't well documented on these very boards. :(

.

Seriously terrible news. A real loss.

..

lol

Which

demo is this?

LOL etc

This song is ace. So's the album.

More

like stage school though.

Jamie T

I wouldn't really class him as a bedroom artist anymore, unfortunately. The amount of money his label have spunked on the album is menkle. I'd have loved to have heard an album of his done entirely by himself.

How

on earth did this get through?

Not the

only date, it seems. Maybe there's more being added? Hopefully they'll do about 3 or 4.

..

'Fucking stupid bitch'. How lovely.

.

Terrible band.

.

Jesus, talk about a rant. That was embarrassing to read.

C-Jags - Sandy / Putty Boy

They're playing on Sunday at the Buffalo Bar I think. Haven't seen 'em live yet but I love this single.

Enablers

Yeah. So.. er.. were they any good?

At The Drive-In - This Station Is Non-Operational - Anthology

What's the dvd like with this?

Bloc Party announce Somerset House show

the 'naughty scamp' got his info from the Fake DIY news page which confirmed the bands last week, although i can't find it again now. oops.

they seem to be fairly accurate from the rumours/pre-sales for each band though.

Re: Somerset House shows return for fifth year

source: http://www.thisisfakediy.co.uk/view.php?id=3764

looks like an amazing lineup. i want to go to every show :(

unfortunately, it looks like it'll be super-duper expensive. beats last year's lineup though.

Somerset House shows return for fifth year

All the shows were listed on thisisfakediy.co.uk last time I looked, although they might have been taken down now, dunno. Some good'uns though, can't wait to see the Mars Volta there. Sigur Ros will be totally weird though - expect to not hear anything :(

Also anyone know how much tickets will be? probably 20-ish?
