Camden Stables,
opposite The Monarch more or less.
err yeah
but you have to remember that the Holloways were supposed to be headlining the 2nd stage but the tent got closed down and Bizzle also got moved up a stage.
All 3 headliners this year are poor in comparison to previous years,
The Verve - No Longer Relevant
Kings of Leon - Not big enough
Jay Z - something a little too different? Not known well enough by the type of people who go the fest.
What they should have done is got headliners like: Coldplay, Kanye West, Prince, ... and had the above on the second stage headlining or main support on main stage.
Possibly:
Prince
Bon Jovi
Metallica
Depeche Mode (poss not anymore, still do stadiums abroad)
Jay Z & Linkin Park (doing a joint gig at Milton Keynes Bowl, so...)
Queen
Kanye West (poss with good supports)
Eminem
Paul McCartney
So are you suggesting we all go out and buy Kooks records?
As how else are we going to get our hands on them?
You have no need to worry
as you are over 14.
2 points,
1: Didn't the backlash start ages ago?
2: Richard Archer is alot older than 30.
You are very very lucky.
Count your blessings.
errm, they are doing they're own headline gigs as well.
Support slots are useful as it gives them a chance to play in front of people who may never had heard of them before. Besides a lot more established bands them then do support tours occasionally like The Cribs & We Are Scientists toured the UK in support slots just before Xmas.
The album the song is from was produced by Trent Reznor
and is very different from Saul Williams S/T album and the one before it. I like the video for this song, it has a good message but am not too keen on the music.
Don't Know
but the Young Knives last single was called that.
The Maccabees
Should win it. There album is seriously underrated.
Well all surgery has some sort of risk attached to it,
It would be interesting to find out how common it actually is.
Also won't it be a good idea for street teamers
to get involved and vote as part of a clever marketing ploy?
To be perfectly honest I don't find the 'winners' that bad overall.
I was expecting alot worse and alot of them do make perfect sense when you consider the magazines readership. Also it's Q what did most of you expect? Pagan Wanderer Lu & Deerhoof to win? At the end of the day, most people are hardly ever happy with these type of things and the main reason for their existance is to increase record sales.
The Go-team are currently touring
and had a single out on the 2nd July. Album is due out soon as well.
But the Girls Aloud cover thing has already been done,
If they had done that then we would be on here moaning as they had copied the Arctic Monkeys.
I thought the same,
When I looked on the site and saw it wasn't my heart sank even more.
Yep,
I miss them muchly.
So's the Dublin Castle.
here tour bus is probably larger than the venue. I'm presuming it's a small scale tour of tiny tiny venues for die hard fans or to road test new material in a live enviroment.
Not many people on here will understand that comment
we're not all cockneys you know. Anyway isn't anywhere north of Watford a different country? ;-)
I think the reason why MCR
are supporting is because Muse are supporting them in the states.
Okay but you have to make sure
that Snow Patrol are standing next to them at the time.
They've left Rough Trade
and are now signed to Fiction and are working on a new album.
Sunday night camping was allowed last year
it's good for all of us who have to travel quite a large distance.
Simple - The Cure
& Depeche Mode
The Numbers
got confirmed / added today.
Yes the gig was very good
and the album is more accessible than Axes.
I'm pretty sure they only supported Ben Folds on one night
maybe wrong and abit unfair to judge ay band on one gig, everyone has off days occasionally.
I was being sarcastic
honestly.
Yeah and France, Germany, Holland,
Belgium, Sweden, Botswana and every other country on this planet? huh?
you mean four surely
either that or one of us can't count.
From someone who hadn't heard of them before the 6th
after hearing them on the radio, you seem to know alot about them and there history less than 10 days later Ceniz.
Do you also smell something slightly funny?
