Yea
there's pretty much tons of acts that release more, I mean look at merzbow, he must be averaging about 20 albums a year since 1980. Crazy loon that he is.
I guess the bit about playing the MBV ATP
is a mess up on the interviewer's part??
I laughed so much when I saw my gf playing the bit at the end on the 4th one
Honestly don't know why they're all kicking up a fuss. Especially as courtney knew what was being signed up for, but was just on too much crack to remember.
well this isn't
anywhere near where it's supposed to be!
Berlin
was split in two wasn't it?
b) Napoleon III
La Route Du Rock is such a great festival. Here's to hoping to go again :)
lol
I love crap jokes. But can't miss Fucked Up getting shutdown for their antics on the Friday :)
Broken records guy is mistaken
Animal Collective is the Friday & Springteen the Saturday.
lol so that'll be the entire
1st album plus b-sides and then maybe 1 or 2 off teh 2nd album then??
there's a link for proof by the way
http://ilike.com/artist/Hot+Rats/events in case anybody wondered.
I donno why so many bands keep popping up looking at the bill
I swear the virgins are due to play 5 or 6 times. But I don't think I'm gonna hit the main stage before Nick Cave which is unfortunate.
Btw the 1st special guest slot in the park stage on Friday is gonna be that new supergrass covers band, hot rats. They're on at 4pm according to their site and that. So that's 1 to avoid I guess.
My Hifi
has a cassette playing bit, well I think it still plays cassettes, I havn't tried for god knows how many years lol. Probably will just rip the thing to my pc though & make a cd of it in all honesty
That bit about the
Viking metal fan reminds me of my work's admin manager, she's like a little 50yr old lady whom's about 5ft. I got talking to her once and she's really into metal and just wouldn't think it at all looking at her. It might be very surreal seeing her at a gig.
I try to not download much
at all. The stuff I do get is normally either out of print and only available for like £20 for a dodgy CDR bootleg version on ebay, or something an artist or label has offered for free. Like the 4AD or Matador showcase mixes.
They seemed good
when I was saw, didn't make me wanna pick up the album or anything though. I can see them being a decent live act that's awful on record.
I was thinking maybe of montreal
but that sounds very out of place for bryan poole's lot, coz he's apparently really pro-taping so I can't see there group being anti photos.
Best toilets
Easily ATP or any of there other events held in the holiday camp sites lol.
I really like the New Order
Finsbury park dvd I've got that I got as a present ages ago. It's 1 of the 2 music dvds I own (the other being the complete jam which was brought for me too).
Cool
Hadn't read much about them but now definately gonna hit up there show in october in essex :)
I did like the libertines at the time
But I think it was more of a growing into music sort of thing, they were pretty much a rip off of the jam. Still, the jam weren't a bad band to try and emulate by any means so they're alright by me.
but then nobody
would go to the machina or the last album, shows!
I do love some of there material
and probably always will and I hate it when bands with a huge back catalogue play the same set night after night. They should do some don't-look-back style shows or something.
Nice little read for lunch time at work
I still don't know what to think of hooky, he always seems to talk either loads of bollocks or stuff that's quite interesting. ah well.
I recently got into this band
I love all 3 albums, they're all so different in a nice way :)
LOL
lord of the rings soundtracked by wooden shjips? that cud be quite interesting.
That's actually really good
I wouldn't expect that from a guy in maximo park
Well the word
"deposit" to be implies you wouldn't get any of it back at all.
The Kills
were really really good, I was very surprised coz I'd forgotten how many tracks by them I knew lol.
I thought foals
were pretty good,
Justice was really fun aswell, it had such a nice atmosphere. Fucked up was just so funny, the singer was so polite and nice before the start of the set & got the crowd to thank the security "for not kicking my ass the second I jumped over the barrier" lol.
QOTSA were much better than I was expecting, they could've done with some more singles though, lost art of keeping a secret etc.
and i nearly died being too far forward for rage.
Forever
Is a wicked song tho, the lack of faith is abit of a surprise i thought they always ended tours with that one...
lol
love the picture of big daddy on the article lol
subset rubdown
clash with explosions? surely he couldn't've been wanting to see them the most then??

I'm well confused by this video
that's gone round the web. I was sure it was deerhunter that played at la route du rock, rather than as atlas sound..
