yeah totally

what a bitch

stick it to the man

and what not

yep, the thing where the name of the poster disappears

for subject only posts is really infuriating. I now can't follow threads and I'm not going to be on the site nearly as much, which makes me sad.

I'm using IE6, so that is probably why, but as I'm at work (where I do almost all my DiS activity) I'm not able to change that. Everything else is fine, but this makes it unusable.

If you fix that, I'll love you forever :)

look! this is me watching Iglu & Hartley!

LIVING THE FUCKING DREAM MAN!

I can't believe you dissed

Shifty Shellshock!! He is the best. Ladies come and ladies go out his revolving door you know.

that is sad news :(

hopefully it's just teething problems and they sort it out real good. And get some good acts on, not much coming up I really fancy like.

Reel Big Fish

are playing there in February. I hope this venue does well, it should be ok. Gig was gash, and the guys that run Ego tried to turn it into a proper venue but the promoter mafia in Scotland (DF, CPL, PCL) wouldn't work with them at all.

Those guys are working with the Picture House though, which is why it's actually got touring bands coming to it. I've not been in since it was Gig, but I'm hopeful it'll do good and last. It makes a lot of difference to me, saving the train fare and travel time to the weege and back for gigs I otherwise would skip. Good luck the Picture House!

Cheers man!

I can see them now :)

where are the amps?

I like the show being in the middle, surrounded by the crowd, but I was looking at the pictures and wondering where the amps were? Are they under the stage or something? Obv having them onstage would block folks view with that set up. Anyone who was there care to enlighten me? Cheers!

wants to kiss Ryan Adams

Haha

that ps is so fey. I am even less impressed with Mr Sandy Vagina than previously.

The bands all get to eat free at Denny's too!

Which is probably an awesome money saver on tour in the states. Although I imagine you'd get fucking sick of Denny's pretty soon.

I ate there once, and I liked it. The end.

*Mr Ryan Adams

they're both Mr Adams, innit.

Totally

the initial report from Sean was entirely reasonable and just providing publicity in the usual irreverent tone of DiS. I think Mr Adams may have some sand in his vagina.

As far as I know

rcrdlbl is run by the guys that started engadget and that sort of thing, I didn't know it had any ties to DiS. I seriously doubt it'd be affected by this, but then I amn't exactly on the inside track for any of this.

Exactly

Meth is the man, the ticallion stallion. No messing.

He doesn't seem to be saying that at all

from the quote you include. Slow news day? I know it's more fun to put words in peoples mouths, but you can do better than this.

Read manufacturing consent

and tell me what grade you give that.

I like them too

Yippee!

poor show

Good point nikehome05

I'm glad you're here to keep this conversation interesting.

Wrong

sorry

You're cool

That was his entourage and not Lydon either

although obviously totally out of order. Sounds like he's surrounded by a bunch of cunts.

Hahaha

or played Outrun!

He's gotta make that £5million back somehow

have a heart! :P

She is a very nice lady

Played a gig with her in Bradford, and she was good, especially being the only acoustic act in a bill full of bands.

Um, what?

are you mental?

She is, I checked it on wikipedia, cos I'm so cool

As an actress, she made a cameo appearance on Carbon Leaf's video "Learn to Fly" and on Gym Class Heroes' video "Cupid's Chokehold".

Led Zeppelin

here's hoping!

Shadow Prince!

:]

Hahahaha

Oli Sykes! Watch out for the stream of urine!

Gosh!

Imagine a band wanting to play even if they won't make millions from it! Why even bother?

Silly billy.

Nope, you are right.

Review is wrong.

Calton Studios, on Calton Road, by Calton Hill. The Carlton is the fancy hotel on the bridges.

Peace!

I agree totally

I can see why it's being done, but I think in practice it makes everyone (except usually the interviewee) seem like a smug prick.

What's not cool about being a total session muso?

I don't understand what's wrong with that? Surely if you've spent years practicing an instrument and can make a living playing with a variety of different people that's ace? Am I missing something?

Aye,

I think she has a point, but most record shops don't exactly have a 'New Wave' section. I think she's overreacting hugely, but as someone said above, it's a very savvy PR move.

I get that that's the idea

but it still comes across a bit sneaky and snarky, in my opinion. Does make for some slightly more interesting responses than the normal press-release/sycophant type of interview you read elsewhere though. I'll keep reading them, so I suppose it's a success on that score.

It's because

the whole idea of this DiSband feature is to interview people in a mean and condescending way. It seems pretty childish and pointless to me, but the two folks I've read in it (Billy and the guy from the Hives) generally seem totally sound, while the interviewer comes across like he's just being a prick for the sake of it, so I'm not sure if it's working too well.

The record is well good

but go and see them live, they're immense.

Does this mean NIN aren't established?

I suppose they have only been on the go for almost 20 years with a rabidly loyal fanbase...
