do people join JUST to post things like that?
A panic-ridden outburst fanned by the fear caused by other people knowing about a band she loves, which she wasn't expecting because none of her close friends know who they are.
Shallow, and easier to read than a book.
above are some of the BEST ones, are you insane??
Well, it's been a while, and you know... it's just been given #6 of albums in 2007.
Maybe people warmed up to its length, and the fact that there's not a bad song on it. Abosolute brilliance.
the fuck is M.I.A. ?
Anyway, nice to see Modest Mouse being recognised as brilliant, in at number 6.
I finish work at 8.
I doubt even Youthmovies will still be on then. But I am going to try and go, it's sounds like a cracker :)
it's "they're" and "embarrassing".
How embarrassing for YOU.
is a very good point.
however I think Frames works on a comparative scale... the heaviest parts although not as heavy as Effloresce and (parts of) EIP, the contrasts from loud and quiet are very noticeable and I think this is how it works. I don't think the songs sound the same though.
The point where 9/11 turns into Unfamiliar is a very special moment. And Savant and Only Twin strike some similarities with Meredith and Music For A Burse from EIP. Not a lot, but some. I suppose it depends what you're asking from them as to what you're going to get out of it.
hardly. They are just sliding.
"Weezer's official site reveals that the band are in the process of making a new album, which should be out sometime in the new year."
I thought they had split up or announced that they weren't really working as a band anymore or something?? Good news then.
That said, their last album was absolute fucking garbage.
and they were shite.
And the singer looks like gollum.
to be honest.
but I wish she would stop it with the skank image with all the fags and cans. You're drinking and smoking underage, we get it.
Probably shouldn't bother me but it does.
album name TBH, I thought they would at least keep the cryptic names. Or failing cryptic, at least not crap.
I hope it's better than Open Season. It was a bit wank in places.
I'm not sure why.
The gigs I've been to since it's been enforced have had no more or no fewer attendees than before it was enforced.
Plus, I don't have to constantly watch where I'm walking because there are no precarious fire-sticks to burn my arms.
Except it's Warner and not Sony, obvs..
full of music and stuff.
I disagree, but well put forward. Please read my review in the user reviews section..
that Who's Got A Match is brilliant.
But this album has issues.
This is a case of another free spirit killed off by Sony.
I fucking hate Sony.
saying that. I completely fail to see any similarities.
is one of the few people here who knows completely what he's talking about.
I tip my hat to you, Sir.
This coming from someone who likes Oasis.
LOL. 'Nuff said.
This is a good review, well done. Thank god they didn't get Dom GourLOL to write it because that would have resulted in me leaving DiS forever. For a while.
It's a good album, but the sad truth is that it's way overproduced. I don't know if it's just a coincidence that that coincides with the major label debut malarky, but I suspect not. Where the hell has the rawness gone? There's no Jaggy Snake or Ribcage or Burn The Action, and it could have done with a couple in. Get Fucked Stud is probably the best track, but I need some more listens. If anything it is at least interesting, and I think it'll be a grower... 7/10 from me too.
As afore mentioned somewhere, I saw him with 65DOS, and when the latter's laptop went do-lalley at the start of their set four times he got up and told jokes about sex and paedophiles. He was really funny.
And he makes a nice racket too..
What I don't get is why they've only just released this, I heard it way over a year ago. Why are they still releasing stuff from Everything All The Time?
you didn't actually mention the Conspiracy of Seeds. Not once! When they do finally rip the tape from their gobs, they're angry, ferocious and downright terrifying. But I dunno which vocals belong to which band, cause they got Circle Takes The Square in for some of them..
Yeah. It's amazing.
And yes, the cover is nice.
However, I think it's better than their last effort and on par with The Fall Of Math. When We Were Younger & Better, Don't Go Down To Sorrow, Dance Parties, Peaks and also the rather enigmatic Conspiracy of Seeds all far surpass anything they're done before. So there.
Except I Swallowed Hard, and Await Rescue.
Gets an 8 from me.
And you're a shit reviewer, LOL Gourlay.
"All Black opens with 40 seconds of goth bollocks before spouting trite shite about colour contrasts. "
Hahaha. Sounds FUN ..
the new single. Just downloaded the EP off iTunes.
I can't believe they're touring with Enter SHITari. It's just all horribly wrong.
"Reddaway expressed his sorrow that the knighting process no longer involved kneeling or swords.
"Please, I wasn't expecting you to kneel," quipped Bono, before Reddaway expressed his sorrow that the knighting process no longer involved kneeling or swords. "
is called the Destruction Of SMALL Ideas. Not NEW.
and I never said that Saturday Superhouse was a brilliant song. It's just that apart from the three lines you used to actually review the single, it was just unjustified, arsey moaning about how you don't personally like them. For someone who says Biffy are boring when you like the Kaiser Chiefs is a bit of a LOL.
of my arguements was worthwhile and intelligent.
look worse now. You wrote a shite review, just admit it. The single's not brilliant but the review was shite.
the review just hit a nerve..
it's just retaliation at a blatant shite review..
to fill his brainless days.
I don't like Nirvana either. They sound fuck all like them.
They are, however, from Ayreshire. Not Glasgow.
that was for gimp-face and not for me?
Just bad. Bad band, bad song. Bad sound. 100% not cool. Some of their earlier stuff had a germ of a good idea in it once you scraped the layered screamo off but now this is just pathetic.
