I agree about mono, post rock can't be only starting a song quiet quiet going up up to loud and then going back to quiet.
That is what mono do for every tune and after 5 or 6 it make you think they lack some ideas

Jesu was interesting, as long as someone explains to me what is the 7th chord on a guitar for?

Close to Paradise is clearly missing and is a great great album, true in canada came out in 2006 but I doubt anyone listened to it that time in UK.
