I believe..

that these are session versions, so different to the ones on the album.

I'm sure that..

..the people who put bands on at Soul Tree were known as Club Goo, so they are probably migrating competely to form Pub Goo.

Shame that this has to happen AFTER I leave Cambridge for good.

Good for cambridge though.

"News"

really?

when i first listened to Volta..

..I thought that Atari Teenage Riot had somehow reformed and were guesting, when I heard Declare Independance.
But I disagree with Smezzer, DI is a great song.

wrong

they murder, live, everytime.

EMI?

No?

(y)

Interesting interview, great record.

epic45..

..are utter gash.

heh!

that is all

it sounds very alien..

..on the initial listening's, as said in the review "an album like nothing you've heard before". On repeats it is rewarding, you have to give it time. It's just like the first time you started listening to serious music. You can tell there's something there that eludes you, its just takes you ahwile to work out what it is.

Seconded

This is far more rewarding on 10th+ listening than the previous albums.

That was a..

..worthwhile post.

Didn't really like..

The review. Thought it was a bit lazy just comparing to post-rock (which this has pretty much nothing in common with) but the album's quite good.

This from a person who rates..

RATM at 3/10 and The Smiths as 0/10.

What's up DiS?

Sad that they aren't signed to your label anymore?!

I can't comment either yet, waiting for my copy to turn up soon though.

..

ah yes, the world tour.

so..

what are they promoting? Mr Beast has been out for ages and nothing else is on the horizon, as far as I know.

:(

I was supposed to be spending 5 hours on a train to see them in Lyon. At least I shall see the at Eurockéennes.

hysterical

utterly utterly hysterical

You can't really judge it..

if you've listened to it once. Jesus. Hoe many albums have you actually 'got' on the first listen?

I'm trying hard, I really am

..but I'm not sure that Neon Bible is up to scratch. But how you're supposed to follow Funeral, I don't know.

To me it sounds like a cross between the early EP and Funeral.. so bit of a step back.

(are you not on Oink, Mike Diver?!)

First one was great too

similar to The Strap's first album aswell. I.e. lost ramblings.

Agreed.

...

actually

I think its because of the interlinking 'cells' that make up the coverage in the US, the place is so darned big that you have to be within one of these cells to get any reception. Its a bit different to the uk system.

Any questions?

this AND 'A Weekend In The City'..

Both get 9's? What's going on? The scores seem like knee-jerk reactions to DiS favourite bands releasing albums. I'm sure they did listen to the album before they reviewed them, but its hard to believe.

I like DiS but in future I will not be able to buy or listen to an album just on DiS's say so.

I feel a little let down *sniff*.

What were the other two compilations?

I have 'What We All Want'. I didn't know there was another one

You might be right..

..apart from a couple of tracks, A Weekend In The City is most dissapointing.

..

I saw him at Norwich Fringe festival. Quite possibly the best 'gig' I've ever been to, if you could call it that.

.

Tell us more.

.

my mistake.

..

A mate of mines got this and said that the first time he heard this he was blown away by how good it is. This mate of mine is also a massive Beatles fan.

Does this mean that EVERYTHING that Liam says is complete shit?

This is awful though.

And who the hell is Cody Jefferson?

.

especially if you've seen the latest South Park episode..

Stop Piracy!

Did they find any evidence of funding terrorists activities?
