why are they unlikely to care?
its still promotion isnt it?
....
''the value of a chart position is rapidly detrioratng''
maybe in musical credibilty, but ot at all for the musicians you cite in the paragraph above that.
also, I dont get the final line. Do you mean the end of a chart with any intergrity? or are you suggesting that with more anticipated artists in the chart, we just wont bother to arrange them by sales anymore?
1 - you have a good memory
I cant even remember saying that
2 - I enjoyed the evening I had, being treated well by two lovely boys, of which the gig was but one component
I would agree
I missed the support too, but apparently they were quite good.
yes, it is
also, that's ONE WEEK before my birthday
yay!
I am going, I think. And blood red shoes!
brighton
so there!
you see annoying people as a victory?
o h d e a r
they do sound fun indeed
But can you really call it 'spazzy' and get away with it?
and me
but a regular column does sound rather exciting!
and that's not even ironic
wahey!
everytime you make a nasty, embittered, resentful, pathetic, childish, silly comment...
you just confirm my moral highground.
oui?
oh really? I missed that
though I'd have to see it to believe it, innit
final point = agreed. Apologies.
dont be a knob
he's only like that about non-serious issues. and he's usually comical with it.
a horrible orignial headline
lovingthe typical DiS stance of ''oh, there's been a backlash, let's change it''
I rather agree with lovecat and all those others who have voiced disapproval.
I also LOVE the listings feature.
really, I think its great!
I second the opinion just up there ^^ about representation of other genres aside from indie, too.
I like it
I agree with the paragraph about looking past the slicker production. I also agree that it gets.... more Regina-esque the nearer to the end you get.
My favourite one are, ''Apres Moi'', 'summer in the cty' and 'lady'
I plan to be at this also
looks good. Also Vicky - lovely!
wow, what a crap piece
seriously, the point of it?
that sounds like so much fun!
and I'm referring to the article, not polko's comment :)
a dire review
end of.
what, the one at the front with the big lips?
ugger-alert!
a band form my school
has a support slot at download.... they're only 15/16!
yeah, but htat's only because
mr bean >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> most of the world's population
thommo
I'm sure jambojambo did read the review! else they wouldnt be commenting on it just below!
^ seconded
ooh dear, jambojambo, we aren't going ot be popular are we?
exactly^
if DiS got rid of the crap articles, there'd be very little here...
...not that there isnt already mind.. news seems to come up in sporadic bursts, and reviews dont go up as quickly and often as they used to either.
so, er, where's the story today?
moz wont get back with the smiths.
we all know that, dont we?
erm, silliest idea for an article or what?
see also: the non-story about moz/the smiths
muse are just a band, really not that amazing or special... really!
maybe you should learn to take criticism
and stop being a wanker when people dont agree!
and asking to stop posting? WHAT is that about??
woah
I decided to pick up on the ageism/snobbery aspects of it, as, despite what you've said, I still think they are proiminent in the review. But NEVER have I suggested that i think this is all the review about! I think they're iumportant aspects of it, that's all!
also, I odnt understand your final sentence, about pressing home on my keyboard (not trying to be beliigerent, but i dont *actually* have a home button here)
so you think ageism and snobbery
have a place, given a suitable context?
Also, I love how you immediately shoot me down, rather than defend your criticism of the record and explain why you think that this music is for 'women to drag unwititng...'
and surely a record review is about the record? rather than the audience it is aimed at?
