fuck
the first paragraph had me so nervous. such suspense. i'm picking this up on Thursday, seeing them do an acoustic gig as well.
Sometimes is my favourite
on the entire thing. what buffoonery.
No
DiS users top albums list? I know there's a thread but I thought it'd be cool if there was an actual feature on it.
9/10
but not a recommended record? odd.
this sounds
promising. excited for the album now.
Will there be
a review of the Kid Canaveral LP, Shouting at Wildlife? I'd like to see that.
Really got into Woods
when I heard the first two albums, and then Songs of Shame came out and they changed direction a little. I sort of lost track for a while, but I've given At Echo Lake a few listens and it sounds solid. I'm going to have to revisit Songs of Shame and then listen to this.
I think
that this record is as good as anything they've done before. Humbug didn't really do much for me, I thought it was good but haven't revisited it all that much, except for Cornerstone. I think this takes everything that was good about the last two records and runs with it.
could
have been named after the Beatles song. Give it a listen. It is good.
huh
this got 9/10, but didn't get 'recommended records' status.. that's a bit weird.
Couldn't agree more
This album's been getting some pretty heavy rotation from me in the past few weeks, its so good. That guitar is amazing, its so simple but the tunes are good enough to hold it up. A strong 8.
