previous "new order rip off" one was album of the year, this one is half good. i get it. :-)
i wonder if she actually listen the ones 'also out this week'.
this harsh review, lazy journalism. like an arthouse film reviewer thinking kick-ass is film of 2010. if she hasnt got all this media attention this review would be 7/10. fact!
no lone wolf or j. grant ?
great album, great label, great review.
they have a great ear for a tune.
they're just unfashioned. 'All Dressed Up And Ready' is great.
i dont care which number you have put in a review (who cares? there will be loads of 4-5 star reviews and an obvious top 5) but show some respect, man.
knowledge is the thing you need if youre writing about a band.
well we all know that Moz always aware the beauty of the b side though.
many of these bands are completely unoriginal, pure new order rip-off to me.
radio wars, very good pop album.
especially baader meinhof outtakes, "cowboy" era peel sessions, all those brilliant "new wave" b sides..
THE WEEK THAT WAS..
best new order rip-off of the year.. bullshit.
best new order rip-off of the year. bullshit.
cafe del mar? nonsense. you should say 'kate bush'.
they sound like 16 year old core-fart for me. and yes, i saw them live, they were completetly unoriginal and unbearable. music press - including DIS - losing it sometimes. after shit bands like klaxons, foals etc. i wont surprise if they become no.1 in charts.
best british album of the 90s ? dont know its so 'out of time'.
music on "sond of water", "finisterre", "good humor" or "turnpike" was really really beautiful, they become more interesting when they become less commercial. still, they are cool enough to put a single like "side streets" in charts.
if you decide to check out rest of the "etienne songbook" (like experimental cuts on latest box set "boxette", fan club cds, b sides, soundtracks etc.) there are real hidden gems there.
i hope they go back to heavenly recordings though. :-)
for remembering one of the best bands on earth. new order reissues, i hope, remind people that they were the best band at least two decades. those albums are gold.
how boring is that ?
rem karaoke nights..
they wrote hundred times better songs than bloc party.
"forth" is good but not as good as "the thaw sessions".
its mark farrow!
they will be forgotten.
remember ordinary boys ?
morrissey liked them too.
phil collins/abc/aztec camera pastiche is cool now. god!
next ? johnny hates jazz cover.
"oh trans am... dont remember it. i have to google on that one."
start listening neil young is like diving in deep waters. i just discovered an unreleased gem called "grey riders" (brilliant!), there are more songs to discover.
its the most new order/joy division track for meand its my favorite.
who cares ? he's still writing great tunes.
he was supporting interpol. boring.
i dont know the rest though.
some people bought new elbow single.
maybe because they both (neil hannon & alex turner) stealing chords from the walker brothers.
i watched in cinema, its a movie for big screen.
not west end shit.
2007 hate object was klaxons of course.
it also reminds me best bits of peter gabriel. i like it. i really did.
great artwork on vinyl though.
i dont give a fuck what number reviewer gave, brilliant band.
funniest thing i saw since klaxons.
sorry, the field is also rubbish. lets say, headache.
