Welcom Back Glam

7/10

what about CYHSY?!

got some videos of CYHSY from the same set up but in amsterdam, check em out at:
http://www.myspace.com/dutchfromabove

it was ok, Clap your hands never really worked as a live act, but better then the last one.

good song!

good band, good live but with annoying singer!

shit album

but saw them live a couple of weeks ago and they where actually really good!

I think

There's lots of potential here but, sadly, it all sounds far too scatty, kind a like the first stroke cd mixed with Architecture in Helsinki...

...yeah that sounds Shit!

so i finally got around to listen to this album...

And after reading about bloc party's Bono-syndrome (let's save the world by making an album and make a bit of cash while doing it + free Pr, yeah), I was genuinely curious to listen to this Cd.

Would it be what some people said more Coldplay meets Radiohead or even more U2ish? Well just after a couple of tracks I got it, this is Snow patrol! And that makes perfect sense with all the split comments on the album, because no one knows if Snow patrol is cool or not! When you’re 10 years old it was ok to listen them but then when you turned 11, suddenly you would get your ass kicked if any one new you had the album!

My name is Dave Fridmann and i'm an art-cunt...

This cd is good, but it tries really hard to be different, just so all the confuzed little indie kids can go around like "This Record is great, don't you get it?!".

Test Icicles little brother

Reminds me of a nice version of Test Icicles (less gut’s, blood and balls), but with Good solid songs and party written all over it. definitely a Pill-thriller for the kids.
9/10

It Sounds great!

The perfect mix between Animal Collective and The Beach Boys!

8 out of 10

Sounds like something between Blur & Gorillaz, without sounding old and dated.

This record is a good start on the new year!

whoops!

Sounds like Bloc Party suffers from the Bono-Syndome!

warning!!!

This album is a 9 on the crap scale!
The Shins started out as a pretty good band but every album they make gets worse and worse and worse.
i'll have to repeat what Marlvrum said "boring/average/predictable record."

it's ok

Well this band is ok and ok is all they ever gonna be. Saw them in Amsterdam just before Christmas and it is really sad when there best song was a Nirvana cover, not even a good cover, just an attempt to win same fan base of youngsters that wouldn't recognize track.

countown

Shit loads of bad songs, some great tunes and no christmas spitit! sounds like Illinoise stole christmas.

come on!

Ok do agree it's not as good as 2005 Canadian invasion with Arcade Fire, Wolf Parade or Broken Social Scene, but this is still a great album! All the screaming children just add to it. One of my favorite albums of last year. That might not say a whole lot as 2006 sucked music wise.

Great Album!

"Farwell" might be one of last years best tunes.
might be the best Rock album since DFA 1979!

10 out of 10?

Love field music, and was really excited to hear Tones of Town, unfortunately I think that The Field Music have gone a bit to Main stream and lost a lot of their charm on this record. ?

Counting Crows???

Well, i'v heard so much good stuff about this album and after doing my best of 2006 research i got it...
and for some reason when i put it on i thought they given me the wrong cd, it sounded like a bad version of the already bad band Counting Crows!
think 6 out of 10 is way to much!
