Probably

my favourite song on the album too.

Nice video!

Shame there's no

Newcastle date as I'd love to catch ASIWYFA, as I still haven't and of course it would be great to see PRE again.

I am actually wearing my PRE tshirt today for the first time in ages.

Yeah, I know what you mean

The Sound Explosion have also been dropped / left their label not too long ago too as far as I'm aware, which is a real shame as their new stuff is incredible.

Realy pity about ycni:m. Haven't heard the new album yet but when they played at Newcastle Uni with Biffy a few months back they were lethal!

Yes, but aren't most releases

up on I-Tunes etc. a week before they're in the stores?

I remember reading a reason behind it, but can't really remember what it is.

Can I please complain again that

their album is being released quite quickly in comparison to labelmates Distophia who still haven't released their album 2 years on?

BASTARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bet

Hard-fi's new album won't take 3 years to come out, unlike labelmates Distophia!

Does anyone else reckon that

they are perhaps being a bit ambitious with some of these shows. They're not that big, are they?

The Limelight in Belfast holds at least 500 people and I imagine not a lot of people there have even heard of them.

Yeah....

These guys have been around for ages although this is their first single and their first "proper" release.

They released a 3 track demo in 2001 which was amazing. They then released a 5 track full on electro EP in about 2003 which was even better.

In my opinion the new stuff that they're doing now definitely sounds more together than any of their previous stuff and they're just an incredible band. Hopefully it won't be long until they take over the world!

Also playing the all-dayer

are the rather awesome Dangerfields who are also off on tour with the Dwarves and the Misfits in August and September.

I can wait for the all-dayer. It's gonna be bloody great!

Unfortunately

I'm on holiday when these guys are playing in Newcastle which is a real shame as I'd love to see them.

Yeah, I was thinking

that too!

UK and Ireland

tour in June, I think.

Must get this. Ted Leo is awesome. I'm wearing my TL tshirt today.

I picked this up at the weekend

I haven't listened to the full thing yet but so far it's outstanding. A big progression since GWF and totally for the better. Again is by far my fave so far but I'll give it another few spins when I get home.

I really, really

like these guys but surely 13 gigs in one city in two months is overdoing it slightly?

Carry You Upward is a fine single choice though. Great tune.

I'm having another listen to this

I listened to it last night and wasn't too impressed. I wasn't really too sure what to expect. They've been mentioning doing a funk album but I thought maybe they were taking the piss. I can see their point about trying to make it different from their last record, which was different to their first. It makes sense.

Anyway, this tune is growing on me and I'm starting to really like it.

I think they're

also playing the Windmill in Brixton around about then too.

I really am loving

Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin these days.

I've a couple of friends

that met Slash in a bar in New York and said that he seemed like a really nice guy and fairly with it. I'm sure it would make an interesting read. I think I may get it when it comes out.

Axl Rose's biography forthcoming?

Yeah....... right!

I wasn't so keen

on Meltdown but I've heard I Started A Fire from their new record and it's fucking great.

I'm off to see them on Sunday night and am really looking forward to it!

Maybe a little late

but I think Marty was actually 25 when he died.

I was hoping for

Somalia or Uganda.

Not South Africa.

Graham Hopkins

is an incredible drummer. He now drums in a band in Dublin called Boss Valenti but he also releases his own stuff under the name Halite, which is brilliant.

I went to see them

about 6 months ago and I expected them to be much better. I hadn't really heard anything since the first album and from what I heard they have seriously went downhill ever since.

Not really

my kind of thing but the music does rock and they work their balls in to the ground.

Fair play to them.

Yes

A fucking amazing band and lovely guys too.

I really hope that they become massive in 2007.

Nightjoy's a killer track. So glad it's going to be rereleased.

That would be

Martha Waitwright.

It's a bit morbid

to be honest.

They're f*cking massive

at this moment in time. I still think that they're a pretty decent act and the last two albums were pretty good. I reckon Final Straw is probably my favourite out of them all. I also remember buying Songs for Polar Bears the week it came out and I still love it. I think the first time I got to see them was in 2000 when they supported Reef. Also playing were co.uk. Good gig.

I like the way that Pete

Doherty made it to no 28 on the list, yet if it was a list of the 50 biggest losers he would no doubt be number 1.

Who cares about this?

I want to know when he's going to release the Young Offender's album. I can only hope.

Is it not being

recorded presently in New York?

I'm quite looking forward to hearing it. Wheeler is a great song writer.

I haven't heard the album

but I've heard enough by him to know that your review is pretty much spot on.

He has been working his ass of though for years and I'm glad to see he's doing well with a decent deal and I'm sure it will appeal to loads of people.

Yes....... but, but

they played live at that Album Chart Thing on Monday night.

They actually weren't as bad as I thought they would be. The 2nd song they played was fairly decent.

The one that's married to Liam Howlett looked totally off her head too.

I might

head to this as I've got fuck all else to do today but will probably leave early to try and watch the Northern Ireland match somewhere.

I'm pretty sure I've seen Settlefish somewhere before.

Class band

Real shame they're splitting but haven't been up to too much recently. If I'm about, which I unfortunately think I'm not I'll be at the last show.

Isn't that the 2nd time

within the last 6 or so months that he's had some of his gear nicked? Did he get any of it back last time?

That's completely shit.

All they

need now is a new singer and they might be alright!

I'm assuming

the MD stands for Must Destroy, :('s record label, right?

Anyway, all I have to do now is convince my friends that this is the place to be tonight.

Yes

but Belfast isn't in Great Britain either but is part of the UK.

Brilliant

Really looking forward to this.

I still reckon Ash

are fucking great.

I've been to see them probably 5 or 6 times in the last couple of years and each time I've had loads of fun.

Last album wasn't fantastic but I still reckon Wheeler can write a great tune.

I was reading

(I think on DIS) that he plans to tour the UK around about the time of the release of the new album.

If you

pay too much you get refunds in kicks to the balls.

This is

fucking great news!!!!!!

I am in London that night and shall be at this! I love !!! and Red Organ Serpent Sound.

I like this story!

I also know of some people that posted a parcel to co.uk's record company with a money bag full of piss and a smashed co.uk CD covered in human shit. Supposedly it even reached their record company with piss seeping out of the envelope.

Yup

Once I get some moolah I'll be purchasing this one too. The man is a genuis.

I reckon

that review just about sums them up. I've been to see them live twice now and they were fairly good but I don't think I would go back for more in a hurry.

I'm sure

Toni and Guy will be glad to see these bastards return.

Best

toasted ciabattas in London are from a shop called Don Quixote on Kingsway (I think) in Holborn.

Chicken, sweetcorn, lettuce and mayo. Yum, yum.
