saw them at cargo for their last london gig
and they blew me away. Hands down best gig I saw last year.
Mogwai
are the most boring band I have ever seen
a few self aware twats
on the rocks
I thought MLS were great
and I'm not really inot that kind of music particularly. The absolute simplicity was awesome. One of the most rubbish guitar players I've ever seen but it sounded fucking wicked. As for Wet Paint. Pavement anyone? Boring and cliched. And crystal stilts, jesus they're absolute dog mess. Sounds like all the crap bits of the doors with the worst singer I've ever heard. Bollwicks.
saw them
about a month ago. Jesus christ they were absolkutely shite. The singer can't sing and whatevcer decipherable lyrics were about "baby, baby my sunshine baby" and all that kind of shite. They sounded like all the organy bits of the doors (which I hate anyway) done badly. End of year lists get fucked
the classic rock
and guitar solos thing seemed to be a bit evident last time I saw them live (about 2 years ago- more rock guitar, more solos, more effects etc) and didn't like it as much as when I'd seen them about a year before and they absolutely blew me away. Feel like they are definitely a less is more type band... You've got to change though I suppose and they're still playing and recording which is the main thing
I really like
S and E, WZ and Crooked Rain and Watery Domestic is amazing. I never got into this album at all though, I kind of lost interest around this point with all the Blur bollocks. I just thought they got a lot more boring. Terror Twilight was a bit better but both of them leave me pretty cold. Anyway...
saw him the same night in Nottingham
Impressive. Was good. Though seemed like a bit of an arsehole.
the guy's
a dick
very
fucking exciting. Was kind of semi hoping/thinking it might happen at some point........ Think my friends are all thinking the breeders one though. Have to talk them round...
I saw them once
and thought they were pretty shit. The idea behind the article is good I spose, but it's Everett True so he just talks in an annoying Everett True kind of way. And I don't really like the band either. So, in conclusion, niblets.

don't be dissing the
O.G GBV! All the band members since 96 I haven't given a fuck about. Cobra Verde and all that. This line up are all legends as far as I'm concerned, and responsible for most of their best tunes. Most of them were pre 93 as well I think. Hands down my favourite band of all time. No way I can afford to go....
