first album good, second album embarassingly awful. why was flux so good when they cant string two songs together?

i'll probably check it out before too long anyway... just to confirm my disappointment.

...or whatever that said - anyone whos been to a sigur ros gig knows theres always some prick pointing out how amazingly breathtaking it is, and quite often theyll say how quiet it is in the audience too.

Somerset house a few years back was a setting that did them justice i think, they were wicked there.

on the other hand, although they arent always great, the duke spirit album was pretty strong. its best moments might not have been so strong as the debut, but the album altogethers more consistent and a much better effort than cuts across the land.

how would you tell? i dont know about the rascals but LSP are simply shit all round. the fact that he had to plug his own band on the back of someone elses success doesnt exactly bode well.

so adele over duffy? dont have a laugh. its not todo with her weight - though to be honest if she sorted it maybe she wouldnt have to deal with so much heartache. but just maybe its that her songs are weak and overrated, she has no charisma, and the gigs she does on her own were pretty damn woeful. just as she shouldnt be written off for her size, you cant hide her from criticism behind it either!!
