Summer Sundae!!

This is bloody ridiculous

At the end of Guitar Hero World Tour, you're a supergroup with Sting, Billy Corgan and Ozzy Osbourne playing NYE on a skyscraper, and you kick out La Bamba. It's silly but how is that an insult? It's a computer game avatar...you can make the Undertaker mince around like a Diva, you can make Thierry Henry white if you want; I don't get what the issue is here.

fact

It was the first glimpse of 'Arena HNIC' and it felt so so so right... aside from the theatrics of Monotonix they totally owned DMH that weekend, and first thing in the afternoon as well. Very special.

Good stuff

Lovely, sexy boys.

Phil's letter

Someone PM it to me?

How did you resist closing the door...

and making sweet passionate love to her...?

What was her daughter like?

A gig in Aberystwyth?

Wow!

Proper indie band now

I suppose...

Touché

I don't think he's complaining, I think he's been out in Japan living the crazy rock life this week.

Top review!

But I must point out, DiS users; re the 'lost' drummer, that Her Name is Calla's former drummer left the drumstool only of the band, and not of life itself. Just in case you were worrying, Mr Coles is still alive!

Love You More Than Football!

Epic, I remember that being plugged on that short lived, post TFI friday night thing with Zoe Ball when it was due to come out on the monday... and it never did!

Bodmin?

Watch out for the beast!

Dom!

You missed the boat!

Go buy Hello Young Lovers and Lil' Beethoven and we'll forgive you.

Slowly but surely...

There'll be a great complilation record when these guys evaporate, I hope!

Can't wait to see Triple H

Wonder who he'll be wrestling?

How can we get him to stop?

Answers, please?

After make believe...

I've never feared an album so much...

The cover fills me with dread!

Kinky John

I've got sewious weservations...

You can still download it!

iTunes, Napster and Boomkat!

I love Glissando!

Gig moving

It's a massive secret that's shook the Leicester club scene.

Free entry for this!!

Kyte, Her Name is Calla and This Et Al?

Unreal! Miss it at your peril, kids.

American Apparel?

Cool.

If we all get the Criminal Damage hannibal hoodies, no one will dare touch us!

http://www.classixshop.com/acatalog/5499.php

I hope you're all ok now... :)

Where's 'Once Upon A Time in the West?'

Ha ha ha...

I remember a massive feature in Q on Kula Shaker's 'K' artwork, oh how times swiftly change!

no, you're right

that was him!

yeah 'cause

anyone can pull that off, right?

bad move, boys!

i'm gonna write a musical with mike love of her name is calla.

it'll be illin.

dirty v

You can usually piece together a reasonable fest. once the full line up's about.

I don't know if I could ever forgive V for putting Sonic Youth on the 3rd stage, as the third headliner. Above them? Robert Plant. Hmm, interesting, you may say. And the main headliners above the Led Zep dude?

Texas.

Do they still do best website?

And give the award to nme.com?

Every year?

Roman Coppola

AAAAAAhhhhhhhhh... come back to me, we want your money! Taxlo$$!

That was a good vid.

Basically

It's an album of random '5 miles around my postcode' MySpace adds and online chat romances gone wrong in between going to well kewl gigz and jus' being a cut above the rest, yeah?

Glad to see he enjoyed it..

Yawn...

I've heard many po-faced acoustic versions of this as well

In pubs and ting... Gak.

Don't do ironic covers, mean every word!

I saw a black dancer in the parade at Disneyland Paris

In the Hercules section, but his foam muscles were a generic white...?!?

that should have read

music journalism pissing contest.

It all seems less witty now.

The best rock music is about dreams and adventure...

Over to OMM and These New Puritans;

OMM: What's your opinion of bands with a very retro sound, like the Courteeners or the Enemy?

George Barnett: I've never heard them, but they're too obsessed with reality.

Jack Barnett: And love songs.

GB: We live in a different world. There should be more magic.

It's a music journalism contest, but no-one knows whose hand is on their cock.

tenner says;

it'll be something like 'the T Mobile weekend' or equally gay and multimedia-ey.

Startling omissions!

Where is the House of Lords from the Young Knives?

This yearly shitfest is truly disgusting... I knew i'd want to punch my monitor as soon as I saw it.

Interesting to see no Carl Barat...? I didn't think Interpol were still down with the NME crowd

I logged into this thread

Just to check if someone had made this reference. :)

You and Me

Is dreadful, however!

Terra Firma

I dig it, actually!

Ambitious!

G C D G

oh, and Stealthy;

I'm guessing we're overlooking Phil Selway and Johnny Greenwood doing that crap Cramps impression in one of the Harry Potter movies?

to be fair, though

Fringey theatre types aren't exactly household names... these guys have a fair track record as individuals.

Just wonder how this will turn out...

Four writers

And i'm guessing it's tedious! Too many cooks...?

Saying that, they're all experienced writers from the fringe circuit so it's not like something scrawled up by some overly enthusiastic hacks. Hmm.

I reckon..

Girls Aloud or someone like that must have done three gigs in a day, some workhorse pop act;

CD:UK or whatever's on saturday mornings..

National Lottery Jetset or whatever they've done to spice that thing up

And then a PA at a University Summer Ball!

:D

Sacred Cows

An instore signing is hardly a gig!

And a PA is hardly a gig either!

Does he still mime along to a backing tape like in his Testicicles days?

Might not be so hard in that case!

Did I say a bad thing? :P

Ooosh

As in that noise from Club Foot?

Bilge Pump sound interesting. I'm uninitiated.

Obscurity Knocks

Razorlight's best work are those throwaway pop slices such as 'Rip it Up' or 'Stumble and Fall', however when Mr Borrell tries to be remotely sincere; 'America', 'Golden Touch', 'Somewhere Else'... Need I go on?

And that's more what a solo album would be like.

Bitterly disappointing...

...that the promo picture isn't the one with Anthony Worral Thompson.

A real moment in music history, that.
