i agree with

the two people above ^^ I was slightly disappointed too at first, but it's grown on me the more I listen to it and I now regard it as one of the best albums I own. It perfectly achieves the band's aim of documenting city life, and I reckon they'll go on to bigger and better things with album #3

yup

great review...it conjures up exactly how I feel when I listen to it. I hope she does a decent sized tour to promote it

Re: Bloc Party - Silent Alarm: Remixed

haha, they are actually re-releasing the album with an extra dvd :S

Re: Distophia get Hard-Fi on yo' ass

I believe Nottingham Uni highsoc is responsible for that...should be cool!

Saul Williams - "I desire to live within a nation on fire..."

He looks like Kele Okereke might look in 10 years time

Re: Elbow DVD: exclusive playback in Southampton

they got the name of every person who was singing at Glasto when they recorded the crowd bit for 'Grace Under Pressure'...hence the album title :)

Re: Elbow DVD: exclusive playback in Southampton

There's one in B'ham - I'm going hopefully

Sufjan Stevens - Illinoise

sounds great :D i'll be getting this on monday morning i think!

Re: Bloc Party - Silent Alarm

flippin' eck robluvsnic - thats an amazing review - you should get yourself a job as a music journalist..if you're not already!

Bloc Party - Helicopter

This indeed a brilliant song...not as good as Banquet, but pretty close

Babyshambles to tour. Really.

OK - why do people like The Libertines / Babyshambles?

1. They released a classic album in Up the Bracket, where every song is stunning.
2. They carry on the tradition of romantic, English indie from The Smiths.
3. Their new single and album rocks!
4. They are a band to care about - a band that are completely real and genuine to their fans.

OK, so NME talk a lot about them, but that just goes to show that people really do want to hear about them.
