I love what you've done with the place.
You guys didn't fuck it up like they did down the hall at Facebook.

As long as they stick to playing songs from that time frame, I'd go see 'em. After Mellon Collie I tuned out.
Either way, I notice that Pittsburgh isn't on the tour list. I should have stayed in the New York are... bands never come to Pittsburgh.
I love this album, and so can you!
It seems people are neither here nor there with this album. I personally love Modern Guilt. In my opinion it is one of his best albums. Every bit as good as Odelay and Mutations. Then again, I own all of his work and will continue to do so.
Is it just me, or does some of the guitar in Profanity Prayers sound like Treehouse by Nada Surf?
Simple
This album is just as good, if not, Better than anything they've put out. They continue to grow as a band with every album. I agree with darkanddive... it isn't going to jump right out at you. But it ended up being an album I couldn't stop listening to.
Key tracks:
See These Bones
Beautiful Beat
Weightless
Ice on the Wing
Maybe their best album
I wasn't fond of this album the very first time I listened to it, but after that I couldn't stop. It was constantly in my cd player. It is much more melodic and experimental than anything the band has done before. And just like all of their previous efforts you can clearly hear that the band had grown since their last. With Sound the Alarm Chris seems to have actually taken his first step back in song writing. I hope to hell it had nothing to do with some hating In Reverie, because I think it is a brilliant album and I couldn't wait for more from the band. Sound the Alarm was a bit of a let down... but some fans just want the same old same old.

I will go ahead and not agree
This album is great. Anyone that loved "Nice and Nicely Done" will also love this. And who can fault a band for having a sound? Such criticism should be reserved for a band that sounds exactly the same four or five albums in. Or even three. So I think this review is way off, especially when this is their second proper release. Again, if they sound exactly the same on their next effort, then knock them for it.
Oh and Ted said something about living up to "Oh Mandy"... I don't even think that's their best track on "Nice".
