I heard 'Antidotes' yesterday - my sister bought it - and compared to the two songs I have on my iPod ('Astronauts And All', 'Try This On Your Piano') it is completely void of complexity or fun. much worse than the Klaxons album - 'Cassius' is the only song I've heard that fits in on this album.

I'm listening to The Ringer now. It is really great. Not sure if it's worth it, though - other than him, I'd only like to see Gallows / Wild Beasts. More kids (worse) + higher prices (worse) + no Patrick Wolf (worse) + Four Tet (good) = ??.

if you do not like the Sex Pistols or if you like Coldplay yr opinion doesn't count here, because it makes you a middle class grammar school white hipster boy / young idiot.

I personally wouldn't agree with them but mayhap they're because it focuses a wee bit much on how modern it is and it mentions variously Myspace, The Beano, The Darkness, the White House, emo, kidz, rave revival, etc.

actually, I bought this today, and my opinion's changed. much better than Boxcutter's "Oneiric", my favourite album of this genre otherwise.
