C) Stay Too Long
can't wait to see it live
next to mcdonalds
teasers on here. the second one, batcat, is pant-wetting IMO
was my highlight. it was very fucking hot though
seeing them next week, excited
why would i want to watch it
there definitely needs to be a balance between quantity and clarity... i miss losing myself in records by giving them sole attention. all i have listened to on spotify recently is 1960s and atp playlists but i guess they have more of a point than just endless albums... for the first time in a while the other day i bought a new album that i hadn't heard, it was liberating and heartwarming... going to have to do it regularly from now on.
is there any rapidshare link or owt?
Take Me Somewhere Nice
has been great. lovely place imo
thanks to the internet letting you enjoy infinite amounts of bands for free with little effort required (try before buy). it would be nice to think that the "profits" are shared amongst all bands out there as people just have a choice of what to buy and therefore won't just go for the top 10 albums/greatest hits comps they see in tesco.
b) people just download a lot more and still don't buy anything
but people may go to a wider variety of gigs due to downloading. or alternatively, they won't go to gigs if they don't know a lot by a band and won't just go on a whim to check out bands.
i tend to only buy albums from independent labels now so i know my money is needed more than the majors. but then again, good bands from majors need more sales to break even.
everyone should just be DIY and self-release stuff but it's a no-go really.
go to bright light fan site for set list
remind me about the oakford gig nearer the time. cheers.
C) Llama Farmers
and they say no-one buys music anymore...!
martin keown, tony adams, lee dixon and nigel winterburn
i would like the city beef
they really do speak for the average man. fuck pretention, i want some proper rock straight from the job centre.
awesome gig, i doubt it's their last tour, they have gone through so much shit to get to this stage.
mean it's now antidistablishment and cool to be homophobic and "stick it to the man"?
this is like finding out santa isn't real. or that stephen fry ass-rapes kids. or something.
"WOAH YEAHH" and stuff live instead of singing the words. it grew tiresome after 2 songs.
harden the fuck up! some of the time DiS are far too wanky.
rubbish. envy sound nothing like sigur ros or mogwai, they have screaming most of the time and they did play a few of their older "skramz" tracks that are in no way post-rock. rock action-era mogwai? how? the only song that sounds relatively like envy on there is you don't know jesus. mogwai have never screamed anyway! envy are a heavy band playing epic songs, not a post-rock band that occasionally gets loud. poor show J.D. they were incredible.
you are right on bossk though.
but there's six of them!
he ruined truck for me too, nearly
so it was quite useful ;)
run stories revealing tracklistings about albums that have already been out for a couple of weeks (minus the bear)
called we are the romans
pretentious art-wank. if it was an article it would be okay, but for a review you are abusing the guestlist place i'm sure you got for reviewing this! people need to relate to reviews, surely the point is to educate?
is so genius, YAY for more
is because of asylum seekers and muslims coming over here and raping our culture
"Two, spell Fueled by Ramen correctly next time you want us to take you seriously."
and what? negative reviews are "pointless"? you have a very dim view of the world then
I'm sure you aren't a whore though, don't be hard on yourself
are doing this tour too!
if i fix vans and drive houses?
