by the NME, i could not leave hmv without buying the new courteeners album out of fear that I was missing out on the next big british band ala smiths stone roses, oasis, libertines etc. etc. yet they are really shit. I was really dissapointed and upset.

They sound like dinosaur jr without the mind splitting guitar solos and tight rhythm section and play like a shitty watered down (if that were possible)good shoes. I think this reviewer not only sucks on eggs but is under the false impression that this band represents a forgotten aspect of romanticism in indie when really theyre just a bit shit.

the lyrics funny, just that the guy thinks he's really talented - a deluded frontman being brought down to earth is always funny.

jay's sense of melody and hooks is great and that they are underrated.
