the tickets were only been onsale to people who are on the mailing list although a link has been floating around so to people who arent on the mail list or spend their days looking at sites like this - they go only went onsale today

when they went onsale this morning 3 extra dates were added to cope with demand

you can buy CD's from elsewhere cheaper (play, cd-wow etc.)
think about it..
for £8.99 on play you get a CD with artwork and, erm, well a box
for £9.95 you get a bunch of digital music tracks that you then have to burn to CD unless you use your computer as a stereo.

i will admit to downloading some tunes, but not whole albums, just the odd track to see what a bands like (yeah i know, that old chestnut)

i prefere to be able to hold my CD in my hand, plus from past experience its easy to lose all of the music on your hard drive through the hard drive fucking up of virus' or whatever

dont you have to subscribe to it for £9.99 a month or something too? fucking waste of time

the line up has been shit at times but it didnt matter cos everybody was up for it, the last couple of years the line up has been brilliant tho and this year is no exception.

might be being biast but T looks like it has the best line up this year so far

i see what you mean about the b sides, but back when i first started buying singles there was always 3 bsides generaly 2 new songs and a live song or cover.

personally i dont think its too much to ask

the blame lies with record companies for wanting to squeeze as many singles out of an album as possible and by releasing 2 CDs for singles, you know CD1 has remixes and CD2 has live stuff. and now there are DVD singles, what a waste of time

Nothing beats a good walk round all the music/dvd shops in town - i always seem to find a bargin somewhere along the line,

but,

shopping online is soooooo much cheaper, its generaly £8.99 for brand new albums and £15.99 for brand new dvd's on play.com and the dvds get even cheaper after a while

the only time i'll wont buy online is if i want a 7" vinyl single that i can get in an independant shop for pennies

its not that i dislike HMV, Virgin and the like but if im to got back there regularly the prices will have to drop, new albums and Cd's might be cheap(ish) the first week of release but then it goes and doubles after that (ok thats an exageration but you know what i mean)

going onto singles - i was never one for buying shedloads of them but why cant you have a 4 track single any more? with b sides that arent remixes of the single? or does having 4 tracks count as being an EP (or whatever they want to call it these days)?
