indeed, plus

Frigging in the Rigging is probably the best B-side ever.

Blimey

the font size NME use says a lot about its readership

*involved in

what was previously a rival's festival brand

Tuborg is

Carlsberg owned I think. Can see why they'd want to get their name involved in a rival's festival.

those 3 beards in one small studio?

I predict some kind of entaglement incident.

^

nods head in agreement

George Lamb

used to manage her, in the early days(when she was even fatter and shitter). She's obviously seen how his career has taken off after his initial stint in A&R and wants a piece of that pie. Sod the hard work of making music, simply get paid to be a twat, which comes naturally to both Allen and Lamb.

Excited

about the Manchester show on Friday now, though unfortunately the Roadhouse is a sweatbox of a venue too.

Is this the festival

where they're all having to play on the grass/mud as there is no stage?

agreed

accoustic version, the one

that was on BBC's behind the scenes at Glastonbury? Was more punishment than entertainment.

she crack-fiend

that is all

'celebrity smackface'

hosted by Marti Pellow, coming to ITV daytime soon

Alopecia

has made me a combination of the two

I'll wholeheartedly

second the nomination for These New Puritans.

hit the nail on the head there

'Not known well enough by the type of people who go the fest' a rapper such as Kanye West would be able to get people singing along, knowing his songs and lyrics. Jay-Z is going to have to work his bollocks off to get the place rocking with songs the audience probably won't know well. That's not a great situation for a headliner to be in. The exact opposite of this is why the Verve are a headline act, every twat can sing along to Bittersweet Symphony.

that's debatable yeah

but it's their best song, which was my point

releasing your only really good song first

as a single is always a mistake: see MGMT too.

Cut Copy

are maybe on the list as the token dance/electro album, which is fine if it means Crystal Castles aren't.

MOR dadrock?

my mum loves Elbow. my dad loves the new Spititualized album.

exception that proves the rule

Johnny Truant is a magnificent name.

White Rabbits

Fort Nightly, I think was released over here this year on Fierce Panda. Fantastic album.

Rock bands always have the best

names.

That's quite a drastic excuse in advance of her

not showing at Glastonbury. Wish you all the best if it is true Amy.

If Crystal Castles make this list

then I will laugh, cry and then laugh again. I'll do the same but in reverse order if Alopecia doesn't make it.

Lionrock!

blimey I feel old now. As for Decksandrumsandrockandroll- probably one of the few big beat albums which might sound ok now.

5 in no particular order

Alopecia- Why?
Strange Breaks & Mr Thing- VA
Beat Pyramid- These New Puritans
Lay it Down- Al Green
Sessions- Carl Craig

great but also

best album cover of the year

Witching Hour

was the first Ladytron album that I really loved so I'm initially finding Velocifero a disappointment. In the last paragraph of the review you really nail the flaws in the album, though I'd rate it 6/10 myself. The album suffers from a lack of proper songs and the tracks in Bulgarian attest to this, are a cop out.

being poor

I don't want to have to steal it

repeating myself

lame electro is lame electro.

And no, synths weren't invented last year.

if you listen carefully

you can just make out the sound of peoples heads exploding, unable to cope with the sheer genius of it.

You Were Always Wrong

is a single of the year contender in its own right.

thinking similar thoughts

but then Academy 3, I think anyway, makes for the best atmosphere. You can get to the front easy enough and also to the bar and still see the band.

It's a pleasant change

(the review), from the 7/10 that everything else seems to get.

it's not the message

it's the way he gives it.

I love planet earth and stuff.

carbon neutral

play an acoustic set then , in the dark, and not for a TV show.

I love Radiohead's music, not the preaching.

If you've paid your TV licence

then it's not free is it?

Wait!

is Skins odious, the finale itself, or both?

I need to know as my finger quite far from the pulse these days.

Change the picture

please

not a great week

but I'm liking the We Are Physics and Broken Records songs.

plus the iLiKETRAiNS video is fantastic.

I won a day ticket last year

thanks Nemone. got to see Daft Punk for the price of a train ticker to Leeds.

Definitely wouldn't pay for any of this year. They've let o2 or possibly Sean Bean choose the lineup

^ communist

Concentrating on fashion...

staring intently at a picture of Posh Spice in Heat magazine?

She's a mentalist.

I've only heard Highness

and didn't mean to sound critical of them, I look forward to hearing the full album.

Manchester Academy 2?

I'm guessing there'll be plenty of room for dancing then.

And yes that is one seriously cool photograph.

I like the album cover

and the chorus to Highness. Slightly surprised at the 7 though but good luck to them, after reading the excellent interview here the other day I think they're going to need it.

That's probably the only reason to like him

I hope he wins (for the record, I despise him, always did, though it's not his fault he replaced the excellent Gideon Coe) as the more successful he gets then the less likely he'll be to stay at 6music, polluting my lovely digital airwaves.

Under all that hair and wackiness

there's a half decent musician. I'm sitting on the fence on this one.

March is a month
