Sigur Ros - Sheffield Leadmill

What a review Kp *explodes with jealousy*

There's a good interview on the independants site here

1 Love: Tracklisting

do they really think that will save them and their credibility??

Idlewild - The Remote Part

what's everyones favourite song? I think mine is 'Stay the Same' - anyone know if that's the next single?

i really want to interview roddy to talk about this album. think i can get a phone interview. a lot of it sounds very post 9/11 and everso slightly demanding social revolution or at least some subtle revolution.

The Trials & Tribulations of Being an Elitist Nu-Metal Fan

same could be said about the whole scuzzy, emulating the 70's, type 'punk', so-called, 'scene'. On the one hand there are an awful lot of shit bands with no creativity and the odd pop hook and in the other, a much smaller, stronger hand, you get a lot of good bands like The International Noise Conspiracy, Span, Sahara Hotnights, Miss Black America, even some of Six by Seven and quite clearly bands like NoFx, Pennywise and the vandals fall in there.

But there's obviously a mediated, cool, boring side to everything and a much better, deeper, more inspiring side for those of us that want such a thing. The bigger and more commerical something gets, the harder people try to improve the quality of what they know and do best, so i don't think incubus, tool, deftones fans have anything to worry about at all, there's always a need for the next level and progression of musical taste, isn't there?

The Jam > Greenday > Pennywise > NoFx > Pitchshifter > Muse > Tom Waits > Arab Strap

Re: the evil Dennis the Mennis'ish blue stripey jumper

how did you know? don't tell the tabloids...

Re: Fallout40 - 4 Steps To Hypocrisy

cool, i'll see them then, then... anyone else coming? I <3 My dad Joe :)

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Spread Your Love

grrr...they're such a lite-weight version of the dandy warhols... their songs are really starting to annoy me now!

Sex Pistols perform one more time

from xfm.co.uk:

Lydon laid into a visibly nervous press (“Middle class sh**es”), offering up his opinions about the band (“They’re not here cos they’re not capable of talking”), the Queen (“I’ve always wanted to get into her knickers”), the country (“You know damn well Mr. Blair f***ed it up royally”) and the likelihood of more gigs (“I’m not interested in a full tour, it’s my jubilee, twenty five years on and you silly b******s still haven’t learnt anything.”)

When asked why the Pistols gig won’t be talking place on the Queen’s official jubilee weekend Rotten replied, “Cos that’s her fun, and quite frankly and even before the event its absolutely guaranteed that her lot will be f***ing dismal. Let that taper out then come back and I’ll remind you being British is really about”

Though Lydon stands to make a considerable amount of money from the event (“f***ing loads” in fact) he was at pains to point out that he wasn’t just in it for the cash, and that his legacy lives on.

“I’m proud of what we did,” he explained “And I ain’t seen f*** all out of anyone that beat it, clear, simple. We meant what we said… Still do. It’s still valid. When have I ever really done any of this for money?” “I ain’t about the money and you all know that. You know that’s a fact, you cannot call me corrupt.” “I doing this cos I’m a good bloke and I think this country need something to be happy about.”

There will be four support bands (“Tasty numbers, “ according to Lydon, “Full on frontals. No names as of yet.” )

Re: Q And Not U - "Punk isn't a style as much as it is an ethic"
