i'm amazed that someone would describe iceland
as "cold and repetitive".
it's windswept, gorgeous and full of spectacular contrasts.
siberia is cold. the midwest is repetitive. iceland is neither.
well, more like 2000 if we're talking kid a
i think it showed up on napster a month or so before the release. i don't think that would qualify as a "proper internet release"...
nice choice of including 'tender prey' and 'your funeral...'!
i do think his remarkable back catalogue deserves more attention, as it's consistently great and never boring.
why not check out e.g. 'from her to eternity' instead of 'grinderman'?
cave is the real deal.
what? why's everyone so bitchy all of a sudden?
you should all go listen to your pablo honey's instead.
cave: you're awesome.
domino in UK/europe, matador in the US
just check the website!
oh, and you can preorder the RET vinyl at domino for a tenner.
sure, malk did play some
scattered shows through the summer of 2005, but i guess the amount of shows doesn't qualify as a "proper tour".
let's hope he comes over for a RET tour... <fingerscrossed>
i consider Face The Truth to be
his best solo album. i think it's great, but for some reason, i almost never listen to it. whenever i do, i think 'wow, this is a great record. wonder why i don't listen to it more often?'
i hope RET will be good! i would hate it if malk would slip into obscurity, only remembered as "that dude who recorded three great albums with pavement but totally slipped up when he went solo".
any european tour rumours?
i'd love to see them...

i assumed that you were trying to describe the nature of iceland,
not just the central highlands on iceland.
