i think it showed up on napster a month or so before the release. i don't think that would qualify as a "proper internet release"...

i do think his remarkable back catalogue deserves more attention, as it's consistently great and never boring.

why not check out e.g. 'from her to eternity' instead of 'grinderman'?

his best solo album. i think it's great, but for some reason, i almost never listen to it. whenever i do, i think 'wow, this is a great record. wonder why i don't listen to it more often?'

i hope RET will be good! i would hate it if malk would slip into obscurity, only remembered as "that dude who recorded three great albums with pavement but totally slipped up when he went solo".

i'd love to see them...
