I didn't realise they had a seperate distribution/publishing deal for Europe.

I get stuff from there all the time. They're pretty good, very similar to the Selectadisc in Nottingham (obviously) and they pretty much always have what I want. And some rare cheap gems.

If I had the money I'd buy it.

in Iceland a year or so ago and the singer from minus was DJing. A friend of his told us that he's now obsessed with making a "prog" record and that the new album (which I guess this must be) is going to be more along the lines of "halldor laxness", albeit more proggy, rather than "jesus christ bobby".

This bloke might've been lying through his teeth though. But the singer was DJing all manner of "weird shit."

the discbox, so I could get the mp3s when they were released and get a wonderfully packaged collectable box in a few months. I knew a 'normal' CD would come out so I'm not bothered. £40 is a decent price for something that's lovely. And I already have the mp3s to listen to whenever I want anyway.

the boxset isn't a high price, for 2 CDs and two LPs and two books in a lovely box it's pretty good.

And people aren't being forced to buy it.

AND it said on the "in rainbows" site that "FOR NOW" it was only available there. Within days there were stories of a CD release.

I honestly don't think that they meant the download thing as a publicity stunt, the media just latched onto it as something really important, when all it is is a band letting people pay what they like for mp3s.

And if people ordered the discbox and now don't want it because the normal CD is coming out, you can always cancel your order...
