message for Mark-E-Moon:
shit off.
Hayley looks irresistible on that picture.
Sorry to reduce it to this.
completely agree
this is pure pop perfection.
this looks chuffin' ace
can't wait to have a listen when I get home...bit miffed One Armed Scissor wasn't your ATD-I tune of choice but I'll forgive you sweetheart.
well written review
but I disagree vehemently with your sentiments. This album is a masterclass in dense, brooding rock...a worthy successor to 'The Devil and God...' in my opinion (for what it's worth).
I've managed to refrain from listening to the leaked version...
so friggin pumped to hear this next week. Deja Entendu and The Devil and God would most likely feature in my top 10 albums of the decade...fingers crossed this is in with a shout as well.
a-ha
so that's who the chick was!
tip of the cap to you, Andrzej
another fine review. This album represented my first ever listen to HEALTH and was most impressed...not sure whether to delve into their first, though, after what you've said here.
I think I might love you, Wendy...
that is all.
another fantastic review, sir
tip of the cap
nice review sir
bought it this morning off the back of one listen to the album on spotify...promises to be one of the best of the year for me already.
really enjoying this album at the moment
I'd be more inclined to give it a seven or possibly even an eight. Safe review, though.
can't wait to hear this
their debut is one of my favourite records of the last five years
thanks for this John
gives me another opportunity to alert people to one of your finest hours:

pretty sure you've just taken that number up to 21
Welcome to our world, make yourself at home. You'll learn to love it.

have you ever considered removing the comments section underneath features? If not, surely the bilge being spat out here is giving you food for thought. I understand you're keen to promote interaction and, for what it's worth, I think that is one of DiS' most significant features but some of the turd being spouted here really undermines some of the 'good journalism' highlighted on the site.
For the record, I'm a pretty big fan of Mike's writing. So there, Kells.
If music journalism is dead
then your very own Everett True might well havde played an integral role. His recent 'defending the indefensible' blogs are up there with some of the most banal and tiresome pieces of 'music journalism' I have ever read. Quite a fall from grace...
a) Saint Dymphna
Am I too slow? boo hoo...
^
guff
this album has had a bit of stick on ye olde forum but I'm pretty happy with it
'Collect Call' is a cracking song.
bravo
I enjoyed this
Good review
although I'd be inclined to give it an 8...but seeing as they're the band who most influenced my music taste I would say that.

I appreciate what you're saying...it is important to see past the hype and jusdge it on its own merits. However, I think I've done this and it still leaves me feeling cold. 'Death' was an admittedly brilliant first single but there is nothing that comes close to touching it on the album. The rip-off of 'Atmosphere' is cringe-inducing.
very good feature
but he's from Sunderland, not Newcastle.
I love
these guys
I too am pretty pumped for a possible Postal Service album
I'm also interested to see what the Arctic Monkeys are going to come up with.
Oh, and for The Kooks to fall off the face of the earth.
is this a clue?
"Ceasing & Desisting"
top marks
for the original headline ;-)
the future for DiS looks bright...
"I WILL FUCK YOU UP REALLY BADLY, YOU ARROGANT, THEIVING LITTLE PRICK. GO FUCK YOURSELF, YOU HORRENDOUS LITTLE CUNT."
no massive issues with me
other than sometimes it takes flippin yonks for the site to load...
sorry
I meant FR - Frightened Rabbit.
What a plum.
interesting
because FB were given a 9/10 by DIS, while JF's frankly 'meh' album was handed an 8/10...any reason why FB weren't in the top 10 considering DIS have deemed it to be a better album?
fair enough
all the other material more than makes up for it
no
day three content? sorry to be an arse...

nice to see a shout out for Chickenhawk
The Pulled Apart by Horses set was absolutely incredible...The Brudenell's foundations are still shaking.
