My collectors edition
arrived today. The 'unplugged' DVD is insanely good, really didn't want to open up the cellophane :/ the packaging is superb!
Not listened to the remix of ten yet, the live lps sound amazing though!
awesome band
album is superb, they've been superb every time i've seen them live. in summary = superb band
So there
This should be bloody amazing
seeing them tonight
really looking forward to seeing them again. bit weird that 'leizah' is on the singles collection considering it was never released
This
is probably one of my favourite albums of the year so far. Theres only really 'The Enemy Are The Future' which I'm not a fan of, some absolutely cracking songs on there.
awesome band
saw them a few times out at SXSW - they always look like they are having fun
they
have sold both nights out at the forum and have added a 3rd.
madness.
that chiefs band
saw them with the whigs last week and didn't think much of them but they seemed a lot better supporting howling bells. they kind of remind me a bit of yeasayer for some reason
new stuff sounded great last night
'nightingale' was pretty awesome - really slow, moody song that was quite beautiful.
couple of the other newies didn't have juanita on guitar so she sort of danced around doing hand claps and what not.
the song they closed the main set with 'radio wars' saw juanita play drums on the ones on the side of the stage which was rather unexpected.
they were incredible
from start to finish, possibly one of my fav gigs this year. her voice is absolutely stunning live
they were
stunning tonight, that was awesome.
random thing
their website is www.ffaf.co.uk not funeralforafriend
anyways, i shall be at the forum. last album was a bit meh, like the 2 new songs i've heard though
no
radio friendly unit shifter
tut tut
ace
definately be doing leccy ballroom. they were great at the astoria 2/mean fiddler recently
^
this
they pretty much put me to sleep at this barfly gig, they were really really aweful.
the password
london - ladytron
awesome!
just booked kings :)
agree
with it being 3/4 tracks to long. wasn't overly convinced with the album at first, definately grown on me a lot though. 'black panther' and 'through the hoosiery' probably my fav 2 on there, 8/10 sounds
about right
i love this album
up there along with why? and black mountain for my fav album of the year so far. 'sleeper hold' is awesome
love we are the physics
the albums pretty good - shame pocket bible isnt on there.
hmmm
mozza day - the national/beck/the whigs/black kids/jaguar love - that'll do
.
Supergrass and Gogol Bordello on main stage.
XFM Stage: Kate Nash, Reverend And The Makers, The Maccabees, Ipso Facto
Time Out Stage: Gossip, Soulwax Nite Versions, The Presets, Boys Noize, Mylo (DJ set)
that'll be thursdays lot - its on a timeout advert today
random thing
if i turn up at 5, will i get in? or do these things get rammed? never been to one before
it hasnt
sold out - still tickets on sale at the moment.
its now
on the 6th at electric ballroom - weird
still playing
scala tomorrow so alls good
nice
bloomsbury will do. was meant to see them at sxsw but ended up seeing someone else
23
k
they were
absolutely dreadful at SXSW last week at emo's - really bad.
i like the album a lot though - zombie graveyard party and becky are 'fun' it does get a bit to samey after a while though. if they get to album 3 - be interesting to see what they do - surely they have to try progressing at some point.
argh
i hope they dont cancel their sxsw gigs now because of this :(
last night was awesome
the fire alarm kind of added to the drama. for some reason everyone seemed more up for it after it happened
im 24
this album is one of my favourite debuts of the last few years. like yes said - its addictive
that video
is rather ace. not entirely convinced with the new version though. ica cant come soon enough
i like the last album as well
to me - it was ace
some rumour
that les savy fav might be playing. im hoping this is true
also clashes
with blonde redhead :(
any rough ideas
on stage times yet (i am relentless :P)
gotta leave at 11 (damn trains) and im hoping i dont miss the mae shi and rolo tomassi
long shot
anyone have a vague idea of the stage times for tomorrow night?
rage/metallica/killers
^ this
ive heard
the other headliner is coldplay not the verve
this album
is the best thing ive heard so far this year, its immense :)
im liking the fact
yeasayer and black mountain are playing.
its not just you
this is really bad
donewaiting

russian circles playing is ace
Beestung Lips
first ive heard of them, but im liking what i hear on their myspace.
broken records are ace
this ep
is amazing. 'good reason' is phenomenal. agree with your comments about the vocals - do seem a bit off sometime.
they are definately supporting
mates there at the mo
