It reads like a parody of pseudo-intellectual journalism. I call it this because (in my opinion) the seemingly purposeful over-complexity of the language chosen hasn't been used to give further insight into the nature of the sound or quality of the music being discussed, and actually serves to obscure this information, along with the somewhat obscure points of reference.

On a more personal and admittedly contradictory note, I was pleasantly surprised to see the clip from Fallen Angels linked here. It's one of my favourite scenes from a film, ever. Simply mesmerising.

Really enjoyed reading. Reminded me of quite a few bands which I've been meaning to check out properly too.

The production really doesn't suit them, and it hurt the Johnny Foreigner album too.

Sissy Hits was pretty much perfect, but since then the production has become substantially more glossy, and I just don't think that it suits them. My other criticism would be that I feel like Hey Everyone listens like a singles collection rather than a cohesive album. All in all, great fun, but I can't imagine myself listening to this in a years time. It all works much better live.
