Superb
However, does he own a diffent shirt?
Oh
and the fact these tards are getting press over bands that really deserve it kills me. Not necessarily speaking to DiS only - I mean everyone everywhere.
Oh my...
Name dropping Unwound and Nation Of Ulysses in this review should get this writer fired. The band is crap. I can’t wait until all of this “Ironic” hipster music shit is over…and it will be my friends. It will be.
This
Band is loud. I love them.
I
Love
This
Band
My
Favorite at SXSW this year.
I have
hung out with, talked and drank some pints with Jason several times and he is ALWAYS accommodating – really good guys.
Nice interview.
Just Got The EP
Can't wait for more.
Built to Spill’s Doug Martsch once wrote...
“No one cares what you dreamt about unless you dreamt about them”. Everyone on twitter should take heed and pay attention.
Um...
Pitchfork did this same story. What kind of favors is Twitter giving you folks?

I'm listening
to "Man" now and it's f'ing brilliant.
It Took Me A Minute To Warm Up To
And then it connected. Amazing band.
I'm

I Love This Band
The end.
This is what I’m talking about
The Grammtics give me hope and Three Trapped Tigers is stunning. This is why I read DIS.
As I threaded a couple of weeks ago with no responses
The drumming is almost non-existent in the mix. Really listen for it and in more songs than none, the drums are completely washed out. I really hate that the band/producer/whoever made this decision. As I can appreciate the new direction, no drums = no fun.
They're
too loud live.
My god I sound like an old man. But seriously, it's difficult to determine what's going on in the song. But oh how I love thee.
This
Is why I read DIS. This shite is off the chain.
...
She brings the heat to hotness. I was fortunate enough to meet her. I fell in love.
She has a lovely, experimental side project tha I quite like called Noveller. http://www.myspace.com/noveller
You Know...
I didn't "get" them upon my initial listen but now I watch their every mood. Like a stalker. In fact, I may have some unhealthy issues with it.
Really Surprised
There is no Frightened rabbit on this.
Won't find love ina....won't find love ina hoooole. It takes more than F'in someone to keep yourslef waaaarm.
I sound just like 'em.
Even In His Youth & D7
Probably pointless to post now but I would vote on these two choices.

Yes, yes, yes
Born and raised on this stuff. If you have not heard the album Hag Seed by Thirty Ought Six then I am sorry.
More picks -
Kerosene 454 – Situation at hand is also definitive listening in early 90’s emo.
RadioFlyer – members of Hoover
Aniocht Arrow and Angel Hair – Although more of the hardcore side, very seminal during the same time and part of the same scene.
Garden Variety – Way underrated band that’s made a couple of fine albums.
Boys Life – Another emo wet dream from the 90’s. Did a split with Christy Front Drive.
Seven Story Mountain – Similar to Sunny Day
Trans Megetti - Edgy post-punk/hardcore
Blue Tip – No explanation needed
Disagree
POF was wait more poignant and raw thank End Serenading.
Quicksand!
Have you guys heard Moondog? World’s fastest Car? These are bands between GB and Quicksand. Never properly recoded but bootlegs are available.
Agree with Tart
I also write for an American online rag that’s been around for almost a decade -found myself writing lines for the sake of sounding fancy. I only skim the reviews I read or take in the last paragraph to the the gist.
Best
Album of 2008 thus far - did see the band play SXSW @ Emo's Annex and although a bit too loud for their own good - they were amazing.
One of my favorites
Looking forward to seeing this bunch at SXSW.
Old Man
Also, being from the US, 30 years old and totally infatuated in the early to mid 90’s Emo(core) scene – Braid, Christie Front Drive, Mineral, Boys Life, Vehicle Birth, Giants Chair, Drive Like Jehu.
Industrial Scene
Anyone? KMFDM, Ministry, Front 242, Revolting Cocks, Pretty Hate Machine – anyone??
HMMMM
I do this for a living…in the states but it is very similar. Greyhounds is correct however, in order to broadcast a public performance of a song and that song is copied (non-broadcast - like radio) then you have to obtain a master use license and a mechanical license. I do not see how this is legal.
He's Wrong
The music business is in the best shape since it began. It’s the record labels that are failing to see the complete picture. There is a difference.
Seriously
I read this rag everyday and yet another put down by British a prude. Sure the American mainstream is dimwitted buffoons but let’s not forget the majority of people that read DIS and have tasteful musical preferences and a good understanding of DIY ethics. I don’t overlook anything. May I remind you of your Robbie Williams and Fighstar's or whatever thee hell they are called. There is a very healthy indie music movement going on in the states right now and don’t you “blokes forget it.

Good Band
I liked how they were made to work the merch table while they supported TS and FR. Nice enough fellows and a great debut.
Nice interview.
