WERE lovely people, once upon a time...

agreed, one of the best albums of last year, and far superiour to Mr Beast

sounds like something from that dreadful last Cast album. its not a patch on Mystical Machine Gun or Shower Your Love

and kowalski was right
they made great singles and shit albums

cos we all have all the albums heres a tracklisting worthy of a BEST OF title try it out.
i can't imagine anyone buying this album, only reason to buy will be if theres a dvd included

i know we all loved idlewild when we were younger, but enough is enough.
such a let down

i think we all want to like the new album. cos iDLEWiLD are a band so many of us had so much love for. but this is where i draw the line. i can't keep defending them to myself.

the album is weak. half of it sounds like the bsides from remote part (which granted were in the most part better than the album tracks) and the rest of it sounds like orson!

the new single is complete and utter shit. hardly reclaiming past glories. they embarass me :( it's even worse than 'live in a hiding place' and 'i understand it'

only half the album is worth listening

start with fidelity wars or boxing hefner

you pay 150-200 quid to spend a weekend trapsing through muddy fields, having crap sleep, being to scared to shit cos the toilets suck, being to scared to eat cos the prices are awful and ur still to scared to shit. you end up seing about 20 bands 16 of which youve already seen in the past year. you see 2 new bands that would have cost you only a couple of quid to see down at ur local barfly and 2 other bands whoi u only see so u can be near the front for the bands u love. you go home stinking, sore legged, and with horrible back pain

chikinki ARE boring
i had high hopes for them

i enjoyed the ep on fierce panda and the hate tv single -(fucking with our clothes on is such a good song)

but then the album and all its singles were a huge disapointment

chikinki have not been missed at all

sheffield is ok, getting too much press really

bromheads are pretty good so far - they could probably become very annoying

ape drape escape are the best of the lot, and are the ones to have recieved the last press

chuck are probably the best band on thee spc

theres rumoured to be a new bsides collection coming in the next few years
after all the reissues and peel session album

elephant was just a rehash of previous works, and GBMS was just crap

its time for them to split

i think the acompanying tours were what dissapointed me

i lost all love for them by the time warnings/promises was released
however its a really great album
most notably 'el capitan'
its just not iDLEWiLD is it??

my worry is that itl sound forced
n wont be the snotty bratty idlewild but a ROCK idlewild which is just as bad as a folk idlewild

the tours from remote part onwards have been disapointing in their unwillingness to look backwards

captain and hope are great records so why do they choose to pretty much ignore them? - and still they play the godawful 'rusty' - the clear weak spot from 100bw

theres an album called 'maida vale' also coming later this year i think - which is the full peel session from around the launch of 'we love the city'

im sure there'll also be a complete bbc sessions cd released at a later date

hope is bbc sessions and not just peel sessions
cos the lamacq sessions were really great

one thing - i thought oasis definately maybe was overtaken as the fastest selling rock debut - only a few months after its release by Elastica- Elastica
