they should have listened when i told them to turn electro
dreadful single, awful artwork, and it took them 3 years for this???
WERE lovely people, once upon a time...
yup
agreed, one of the best albums of last year, and far superiour to Mr Beast
um no
sounds like something from that dreadful last Cast album. its not a patch on Mystical Machine Gun or Shower Your Love
and kowalski was right
they made great singles and shit albums
PAINT NOTHING - BEST OF 1995-2005
cos we all have all the albums heres a tracklisting worthy of a BEST OF title try it out.
i can't imagine anyone buying this album, only reason to buy will be if theres a dvd included
note how theres no order to the songs, so that u cant hear the gradual decaying
Satan Polaroid
Captain
Film For the Future
Everyone says you're so fragile
I'm a message
when i argue
paint nothing
happy to be here tonight
little discourage
actually its darkness
wooden ideas
let me sleep
quiet crown
broken windows
you held the world
american english
modern way of letting go
tell me ten words
remote part
all this information
love steals us from loneliness
el capitan
too long awake
hmm
2008 - 15th aniversary Deluxe Edition???
this is the
worst song from their worst album and DIS is only licking their collective arses cos theyve been paid a shit load of cash for advertising
urgh
awful awful album
i know we all loved idlewild when we were younger, but enough is enough.
such a let down
i don't have the heart
i think we all want to like the new album. cos iDLEWiLD are a band so many of us had so much love for. but this is where i draw the line. i can't keep defending them to myself.
the album is weak. half of it sounds like the bsides from remote part (which granted were in the most part better than the album tracks) and the rest of it sounds like orson!
the new single is complete and utter shit. hardly reclaiming past glories. they embarass me :( it's even worse than 'live in a hiding place' and 'i understand it'
only half the album is worth listening
in competition for the worst time
everything as it moves
if it takes you home
you and i are both away
finished it remains
maybe next time
mogwai
mogwai-zidane was definately my personal favourite album of the year
with css in a close second
um
hot chip or editors
um
1, yes
2, no - coxons last 2 albums have been shit compared to the 1st 4
both were great
i found love on the northen line
northern line - one time
---
what have i got to do
to get the message through to you
what else can i say
you never listen anyway
you think that i'm to young
you think that i dont understand
listen to me now
i ain't no boy, yes im a man
you don't understand
you don't understand
you don't understand
you don't understand
im a man not a boy
a man not a boy
a man not a boy
boo hoo
i love you !!!
RHCP are the worst band of all time
still playin the same funk rock slap bass whiney shit theyve been playing for the past 20 years - winge winge im a rockstar i take drugs in california
and to be honest theyve been ripping themselves off for the last 10 years
i cant stand them at all
apart from whoever it was that appeared in back to the future 2 :)
-
obviously i meant to type drink*
stupid fat hands
guillemots
have to be the worst thing ever to bear the fantastc plastic logo
but
not if its a cuppa soup - then you drung it!
shame
i hoped it was bender
i'd rather he than uri
and yes - is he independently wealthy cos bending spoons should never make you that much money!!
maybe he get's paid alot to give interviews about michael jackson?
yawn
i agree the beatles are utter shite i cant belive the people of the world continue to arse lick the likes of
"yellow submarie", "she loves you", "hard days night", "i wanna hold your hand", "sgt peppers.." etc
i've never at any point enjoyed the beatles, even less so when the lyrics are pauls.
oh god
it's soo tame and lame
it's fuckin awful, no wonder they're resorting to giving it away for free
i
just listened to shorley wall - and it sound like 'my life story' who were also pretty fuckin shit
nope
i think they're crap even wen i was a kid listening to blossoms falling n all that rubbish i knew they were crap
people only cared about them cos they'd been on transcopic
sore gums bleed for the sake of shiny teeth
oh how i love the ape drape escape
best band in sheffield by a country mile
the fa have no clue about music do they?
surely its just gonna be heartbreak anyway
we'll lose to everyone
crouchy is the worst footballer i have ever seen
and who writes heartbreak better than darren hayman
he should reform hefner and write
'the hymn for coming home early'
either that or 3 lins again
but with the line now changed to '40 years of hurt'
ouch it hurts soooo much
phew
im glad this was the news and not something about that crap tv show 'totally frank' and the band from it releasing a cd - now that would be pointless
whatever
actic monkeys also sound like a libertines rip off, just with accents, fratellis are awful - another major label following suit - boring
milburn are shit n so are AM +
ur right some 1 always gets there 1st and colosal man on repeat listening now are complete shit
however 'mums gone to iceland' is still a great lil pop song - i remeber mr peel played it on his special iceland show
also
lets stop pretending
the record is released on and promoted by polydor
oh how much i do love fantastic plastic - but this isnt it
this is fake diy
yawning
just seen them - should really have stayed at home - altho the little egshakers they handed out are lovely
oh no no
hefner are nothing like belle n seb
hefner are a mix of The Modern Lovers, The Beach Boys and The Violent Femmes
you'll love them
start with fidelity wars or boxing hefner
reading and leeds urgh
you pay 150-200 quid to spend a weekend trapsing through muddy fields, having crap sleep, being to scared to shit cos the toilets suck, being to scared to eat cos the prices are awful and ur still to scared to shit. you end up seing about 20 bands 16 of which youve already seen in the past year. you see 2 new bands that would have cost you only a couple of quid to see down at ur local barfly and 2 other bands whoi u only see so u can be near the front for the bands u love. you go home stinking, sore legged, and with horrible back pain
festivals - overated much?
yawn
chikinki ARE boring
i had high hopes for them
i enjoyed the ep on fierce panda and the hate tv single -(fucking with our clothes on is such a good song)
but then the album and all its singles were a huge disapointment
chikinki have not been missed at all
.
sheffield is ok, getting too much press really
bromheads are pretty good so far - they could probably become very annoying
ape drape escape are the best of the lot, and are the ones to have recieved the last press
chuck are probably the best band on thee spc
.
theres rumoured to be a new bsides collection coming in the next few years
after all the reissues and peel session album
oh how i wish they would
elephant was just a rehash of previous works, and GBMS was just crap
its time for them to split
yup
me too
the album is completely unlistenable
who cares?
kula shaker were an average band with a ferw decent songs
most notably 'shower your love'
if theyre good/bad/indifferent it matters not
all that matters is crispin has the coolest mom in the world
huh?
fwd russia suck ass - i cant even remember any of their songs - and neither will u in a years time

oh but isnt it totaly worth it?
lol
remember the lizard festival - and all those otehr festivals organised around the 1999 eclipse
wow what an idea - and such a line up
whats that? kula shaker headlining?
how can it not work
...
i loved this band so much
even including remote part
i think the acompanying tours were what dissapointed me
i lost all love for them by the time warnings/promises was released
however its a really great album
most notably 'el capitan'
its just not iDLEWiLD is it??
urg
my worry is that itl sound forced
n wont be the snotty bratty idlewild but a ROCK idlewild which is just as bad as a folk idlewild
the tours from remote part onwards have been disapointing in their unwillingness to look backwards
captain and hope are great records so why do they choose to pretty much ignore them? - and still they play the godawful 'rusty' - the clear weak spot from 100bw
well...
theres an album called 'maida vale' also coming later this year i think - which is the full peel session from around the launch of 'we love the city'
im sure there'll also be a complete bbc sessions cd released at a later date
hope is bbc sessions and not just peel sessions
cos the lamacq sessions were really great
hmm?
one thing - i thought oasis definately maybe was overtaken as the fastest selling rock debut - only a few months after its release by Elastica- Elastica
