unexpectedly acquired this over the weekend
and it's great. love the guitar at the end of 'bicycle'.
nice playlist.
another suggestion:
'a sunday'- jimmy eat world.
i did the changing-my-handwriting-to-match-the-sleevenotes thing too,
but with biffy clyro. the sleevenotes were infinity land, i particularly liked the g's, and still do them like that.
i love bands with great lyrics.
it always seems to be the indie pop bands that have amazing words. like the lucksmiths, and hefner, that humour tinged with melancholy.
you know what,
i like your band name, so i might just get there early!
aw
might pop along to the lucksmiths' glasgow show.
oh man
i didn't know danan were playing...
i have to work all day saturdays anyway...
there's a difference
between ripping off and absorbing influences.
i'm not a fan but you can tell they have a clear idea of what they are and what their influences are. their influences are ingrained in them and they understand them.
this looks
horrendous.
i love them!
i wish my connection wasn't going so slow right now so i could actually watch the footage properly.
i agree with you on the bass picture!
(it is joe). and the other joe is wearing an i was a cub scout t shirt, yay.
just got tickets to the hope is important night
:D
i missed out when biffy did this.
A) Yes
.
i think she's just peeved
at the personal space invasion by the guy beside her.
looking forward to the album very much!
seeing them in glasgow on the 26th too, yay.
i just realised my comment
is almost the same as one 3 boxes up ^
coincidence? no.
yay i love the cats.
i do hope a glasgow date is on the cards.
CLASS WAR ALERT!
anyway, i like noah and the whale.
re: that joe lean thing
release an ep then! albums are a snapshot in time of how the band were at that point! 'blahblah, oh, i just want a classic debut album that will be in Q magazine lists for years and years and blah.'
tool.
ach who cares anyway, they're rubbish.
i voted for johnny foreigner. i maybe should've voted mystery jets...
great band
saw them a little while back and at points the audience was silent, something i hadn't experienced before.
"It's a shame that the wonderful world of the media is riddled with nonsense like this."
what does that mean? why does he have to spin stupid phrases like that? what a dick.
kele is too intelligent to start a fight, it's probably safe to assume lydon's entourage are thugs.
it's this weekend
and they left it so late to announce they're not playing?
and the festival PR thought they were when the label said they weren't?
madness. i smell a rat. or something. whatever, i'm not going...
omg
james pond, i'd forgotten all about that!
good review dom
kudos for not unfairly slagging them off like many others would :)
my ultimate favourite band when i was 13/14.
shame
really good band. my tastes have changed since racecar came out, thus i haven't picked up the latest album. but oh to be 16 again, rocking out to scared of the police or stuck in my throat.
PIRACY!
nooo
and reuben too? what's going on today. at least i caught both of them live.
boo
just after i missed seeing them in glasgow, too. that liverpool gig looks great.
conorrrrrr!
i knew it'd get better.
yeah
they're "fucking off" after friday. they really don't give a shit.
you've incurred the wrath of a devoted eits fan! ;)
awesome weekend
my first festival too, probably a good one to start with, no neds in sight.
i didn't think it was unbearably muddy, although i did have wellies.
the drizzly mogwai set was amazing. wish i'd seen m.i.a. though, it sounded good, and wish i could remember more of idlewild, but i've got tickets for them in october so all is well.
you're so right
doing nothing is better than doing something.
calm the fuck down mate.
"pathetic excuse for a man"? jeez...
let's hear your classic album. you don't have one? i see...
i bet
he turns up to court wearing a neck brace.
oh my gahhh
there's a comment on that blog saying it was the girls fault. in the words of the kidz: wtf!?
bring me the horizon are wank!!!1111111
i always thought bloc party were anti- drugs
that's one of the reasons i like them so much, they seemed to be an alternative from all the pete doherty/ libertines/let's all take drugs shiteness. that and of course their music is a million times better than bands like that.
i still like them but that ecstasy comment at the bottom kind of lets me down.
the
WANG.
fucking can't wait for this
no wait... yes, yes i can
yes!
mon the tweecore!
i live in scotland i'm afraid.
and i can think of better ways to spend my friday night than watching a drunken dj set comprised of nothing but you muttering something about snakes that are quite warm thankyou very much!
*runs off to bedroom to watch the charlotte church show*
i think you need the pub now.
drink the hate away.
ho is hot snakes?
actually i don't know if i have enough posts to make a comment like that yet...
well
if you're comparing things with killing babies then i guess everything apart from that is acceptable? how does that help to get things into perspective exactly? if you ask me i think taking blood from an unconcious person is pretty shit.
