one
of the horrors is fantastically brilliant at fantasy football
agreed
Dis' news items seem to be the definition of lazy journalism at the moment.
in fact
there are a number of amazing indian take aways dead near the town hall, theres jamals, where you can hear about his latest heart attack, or you could go to one of the many khans, which are all excellent, £19 would get you a lot of food i'd imagine.
you've missed out
!!!, Animal Collective and the Human League!
i really want to go to this, but silly lucy is in silly china.
crap news
tabloid fodder? hmm
oh and for the first two years he was like kennedy...well kennedy only had two years too!
but
regardless of who he might be, his opinion is pretty much what a great proportion of people will be thinking....
look
TEESSIDE
loads of reviews
seem to do this, not just on drowned in sound, although its pretty evident both in the reviews and in the forums.
personally i reckon its a sign of a poor review unless it's genuinely witty.
on this case though, brian may vs mika, i couldnt give a toss
shes mint
this was announced before christmas like
this band are
fantastic.
a UK tour perhaps?
the whip
play middlesbrough 15th march.
club nme, empire :)
i sympathise with
you all.
quite often promoters and owners, (more often promoters in my experience) are complete cowboys and fuck up plans, we've done gigs that we were about to travel 50 miles to, before finding out by chance on an internet forum the gig had been cancelled, through a post not by the promoter, but by a 14 year old kid!
anyway, we learnt our lesson and now we use contracts, still not guaranteed not to get fucked over but gives us a bit of leverage with the offender!
im sure
this is really annoying for the bands, but i wouldn't blame the promoter/venue for booking someone who will probably make them a lot more money!
apparently
they have served their purpose for the time being, but "dont be suprised" if they come back in the future.
i was
a bit pissed off that his shows weren't announced like.
well done to whoever did that, but hopefully he'll do a more extensive, outside of london tour later in the year.
i thought these
were alright!
be interesting to see how they've changed over the past few years
its more
the way she annunciates the words, but she is a fine dancer.
empty
= best track on live it out
true!!!
low = best on that album.
i'd forgotten how good this was!
proper one :
Coventry Carol.
good band ones -
white christmas - flaming lips
in the bleak midwinter - Lauren Laverne
davy
c should go on it!
It
does sound quite vastly different.
I think a lot lies (perhaps in more ways than one) in the production of the record.
I've seen them quite a few times live and i reckon both songs sound at least ten times more exciting live, it seems like some of the energy hasn't translated so well on this one compared to the last single they released.
Still, two ace songs, neither are my favourite TOGM song but i reckon it's a more than worthy addition to anyone with a mind outside of four-chord-britain
at least
since signing the cosmic rough riders/jamc/various other "fucking brilliant" bands before discovering mega-sucessful bands.
i hope he doesnt read this and put it into another one of his god-forsaken bulletins.
mcgee
is right.
unfortunately he too is utterly vacant

rubbish news.
no!
its The Bromheads
look up your american history mister.
i agree
with brainlove, theyre pretty dire musically, but they put on more of a show than 90% of carboncopy indie chart bands, and theres always some tabloid-esque controversy when you see them.
ahhem
humble pie, how did that happen?

this song really is about as good as bad AIDS is bad.
it was
bad enough waiting til mid august to get the vinyl!
that sounds
like a MINT line up.
shame its SO far away : (
bad craic
these had some ace songs, left is shit though
i really like them
but the last two times i've seen them live - leeds and middlesbrough music live the sound has been atrocious - considering the leeds technicians are supposed to be the best in the business it was all top end, utter bollocks.
I agree with the black amnesias comments though, i hope they come back, Left isn't the album for them to quit on in my opinion - they are good deep down!
oops
^ that was me ^
haha
soz ard for having an opinion like!
Regina
is like a GODAWFUL primary school teacher during "sing along" time.

yeah..
talking throughout the entire gig, two behind us and a boy who looked like he was trying to impress a girl by taking her to a "cool" gig which she talked all the way through, bitch.
wasn't blown away by the hammersmith, saw them in newcastle two-ish years ago and it was a bit more intimate and atmospheric.
I don't mind the new album, but the set seemed to take a while for me to really get into it, whether that's their fault or mine i don't know...
