All this Verve bashing is a bit poor.....
....granted, Urban Hymns was a pile of M.O.R. poo, but A Storm in Heaven and A Northern Soul ar both beautiful albums. It's all about McCabe. Ashcroft is his puppet.
I feel sick...
Maybe Chuck D has been nicking Flava's crack, because he is quite clearly full of shit on this occasion...
This Man.....
Was not bullied hard enough when he was at school.
i agree...
wholeheartedly!!!!!!
i have had this very same discussion...
with a young girl at work today. Then she got their song stuck in my head, and i countered with "stay another day" by East 17. It worked, and i won.
Violent Hippies......
give me the fucking horn........
woh there little feller........
that's a bit strong isn't it? You are arguing that things you don't like should be banned.
In the grand scheme of things, somebody smoking a cigarette outside a caf is going to do less damage to you than a whole host of cars, trucks, aeroplanes and factories spewing CO2 and other nasty chemicals into the atmosphere.
I appreciate that you don't like smoking, and i entirely agree that it is an entireley pointless pursuit, but is it not down to the individual to choose what they want to do? i am not here to post an argument with you, but the passion you showed for banning smoking outright shocked me a little to be honest.
i am a smoker, and like many smokers i am all in favour of the ban, but telling people that they cannot smoke at all, when drinking is equally as damaging for your health. Do you want
prohibition?
Anyway, i have to go. i have a cough at the moment. Maybe i will steel the office asthmatics inhaler, and push her down the stairs...........
S-S-S-S-Saigon....
.....
it is quite clearly
music for girls. so i am ignoring everything above - i am whistling now........
Out of everything i have seen this summer...
this is what i would most like to attend. Why oh why in Norwich. 6-7 hour train journey at the least, and £90 for the privilige!! it is putting me off a tad.
I am going to buy this...
for my girlfriend. So there!!!!
I used to have some Doc Martens when i was at school...
However, i never shot myself in the head or died of a drug overdose. I did get a nasty blister on my finger at the weekend when i was getting some cauliflower and broccoli cheese bake out of the oven. Still hurts a bit today. Is there a link between pleasure / pain / Doc Martens which i have never realised before?
and by lhat, i meant
that
it's a shame that
went to watch them a couple of years ago and they played a full Joy Division set which was fucking ace (especially Atmosphere and Warsaw), but still a bit gutted i won't get to get loaded and go and watch a full New Order set. Guess they were a bit too old for all lhat now anyway, and the last album was pretty pap. Ta Ta then......
I'm not a fighting man
but i could take this moon faced fop out with three well placed punches. One in his big ol' belly, then a left to the floating rib, finishing him with a right uppercut. Anyone watching the Mayweather v De La Hoya fight this weekend? Should be ace!!!
I went to see them
in Leeds at the Cockpit. They were fatter than they used to be, but were just as poo.
Certainly won't bother again.

I third that..
really like the last album - the only one i don't like is the Invisible Invasion (which has some OK songs on it, but is a poor album).
