I love
QOTSA
Were far too quiet.. It's a shame such a great line up was ruined by the sound.
this sucks
I bet they would have been one of the highlights..:(
Late of Pier
= ace
just got this yesterday
from what I have heard it sounds like a great mix of NIN, The Roots & R.A.T.M
£7.99 though... overpriced but I dont think that will stop many fans from buying it.
Fuck me
I did not expect this...
I am going to cream my pants.
HOLD THE FUCKING PHONE!
That ISIS video is fucking amazing!!!!!
shit
i missed out :(
year Zero
is seriously amazing
hmmm
i actually really like that single... but I would only want to listen to it in moderation.
Fuck Yes
the quantum physics of Music.
wow...
I have big hopes for this. I reckon it's going to be what In Rainbows was for Radiohead. Great to hear that Terry Date is back behind the desk.
I just hope their record label stop paying them in Pizzas.
Mars volta
all the way!
correction
released through Mercury.
shit......
I was persuading myself into buying the £150 version thinking that I'd have more than one day to think about it!
I bought the $5 download yesterday but the damn thing didn't download. There was a note on the NIN site saying they had huge traffic and there may be problems. Hopefully my e-mail to the NIN customer support wont get lost in industrial cyber space.
I think everyone needs to realize that the gothed up tits Camden and the intimidating name really dont represent what NIN is all about. Everyone time I play NIN to a friend or at work people are just like 'WHO IS THIS?' and are completely surprised as its not what they expected to hear.... basically what I am saying is that if you dont like NIN, it's probably because you have pre-conceptions created by the the ugly fans (I Definitely did!). I know this sounds like me being a cunt but it's my honest opinion on why I think a lot of people (even on a muso site like DiS) turn blind eye to such talent.
Trent is a don... less than a year after releasing Year Zero he has produced Saul Williams album, released a re-mix album and now brought out a 36 tracks album in an exciting form of delivery.
mega thumbs up
WHAT A
let down..
I meant
Best mars volta ALBUM SINCE De-Loused
Best Mars Volta De-Loused
and I genuinly feel sorry for anyone who thinks they suck. What narrow taste you must have.
I fucking love this band
Bring it on!
WTF...
No Queens of The Stone Age or Nine Inch Nails?
3/10 for sure
Hopefully the new album wont be.
ooops
a few spelling mistakes..
Ha Ha
Fopp was a great company without a doubt but they fired me over a year ago for not coming in for one day when every other day i ever worked I was early and worked hard...so I kind of feel like Karma has struck...ha ha.
But seriously the music industry is going through too much change at the moment. As a result it is far too risky a business decision to by record into a record store.
Only last year tower records in the US went bust and now Fopp. I think it is obvious that the future of the music industry as a deliverable lies in the internet. Stores like HMV need to focus on products such as gaming and DVD (which is also next in the firing line) in order to survive for the time being.
As for music, I honestly think that the only money that is going to be made as far as tangible products are concerened is A) from the Musos who want the latest ISIS album on Vynl, and B) The kids who buy band merchandise. I think it is only a matter of time till we see HMV in the same position as Fopp.
The rest of the music industry lies with the booming sales of live events and digital downloads...
guitar wank trip?
I dont even want to know what you think of the mars volta!
no groove? i think this is queens back to their best.
man I think you judged this record on too few a listens.. listen again! and then again!
What I
realy like about DiS is that I can trust the reviews and I feel that this is the first case where I have been let down by DiS.
All I can say is that I am so glad that I read Rocksounds 9/10 review before I read this, otherwise I would of missed out on such an amazing piece of work.
9 out of 10 for sure.
but then again...that's just my opnion.
4?
unholy got 4? I cant believe a DiS would give an album like Unholy 4! Shit...listen to it again! seeing as Unholy got a 4 I realy don't know if I should trust this review. I'll buy this album without question.
it is
a very commercial sounding record but at the same time it is very good. Weather they intended to or not they have made a major labels dream record. short catchy songs that get to the hook fast. As lame as that may sound it is a very good album. Lets see if I am still rinsing it as much as I have been rinsing Year Zero. Some how I doubt it, but we will see.
If Only
I did not have the worries of Uni work I would go.
shame
their is such a wait till the london show... recon I'll have to head to Brighton!
I
completely agree. If this was by a new artist people would be shitting themselves with excitment. Many people associate NIN with Goths but I think this album will get the credit it derserves...
Plus he dont look like a skinny goth anymore!
Everyone
get this... I have not stopped listening to it since I bought it. His best yet in my opinion. You can tell he has been rinsing The Prodigy and Aphex Twin.
