i

saw them last night. v good. :]

go

abroad or latitude or both.avoid wireless, leeds...

on

a different note - sort of - on emusic several times ive come across a message which says 'im sorry this album/ep' isnt available in your country at the moment.

would it be possible to get a proxy and get this album anyway. were is the logic in even having this album even available to be found... re-releases? the artist removing it?

+ i heard that itunes are thinking of starting a subscription service similar to that of emusic. And that labels are seeing subscription services as the way 'forward' to sell online, rather than or as well as offering individual tracks.
any truth?

torrent

....

I just spent

the afternoon reading/downloading/listening all the stuff :D. the jacques renault track is probably my favourite followed by the junip one :D.

that

site is great :D.

yeh

they could just make all gigs which they perceive (or maybe even all..) to have a high demand ticketless. - so you have to take the card you brought the tickets with to the gig to get in.
The majority of gigs/festival ticks can only be brought online now anyway right, with only a minority of tickets going to venues outlets (Hi, high booking fee...).
then they would also save on not having to post out however many tickets.

this

hopefully they didnt charge me as i twice got 2 tickets then on the confirmation screen said please contact venue on [number] there may be a problem with allocation - or something along those lines. hopefully they dont charge me...
the third time it gave a pop up saying there'd sold out. so i went to ticketmaster and within 1 minute had my tickets. seetickets = poor.

if

you go through enter the code or whatever there is still seating.

awesome

!

clap

your hands say yeah were good, and the national, bit disappointed by the hold steady, Im from bacelona :D, howling bells :D. arcade fire :DD.
rodrigo y garbiella ace. comedy tent was too busy (most the weekend) so missed bill bailey to go see emmy the great.
lots of good new stuff, I was a cub scout were good as well (better than when i last saw them anywho).
I really liked latitude this and last year, although next year they are making it bigger (?ive heard) so i would expect it to be spoiled by more security and stupid 'legal drug stores' although hopefully they will keep booking arty/cult (i guess) bands so to speak rather than stuff like the killers, razorlight etc as headliners.

hey

yeh i guess, it gave me that feeling after a few songs and stuff but after 10 minutes it just got boring.
I dont think i mean analysing them stroking my beard (i used to have a beard but not anymore :p). I just mean i respect them for going up on stage and making noise as they do, as its not mainstream makes no attempts to be commercialised i guess and they are doing something they clearly want to do.
I saw some other things like that, one bassline and minimal beats, hypnotic tones etc. I dont think that sort of stuff works (or at least not as effectively) unless you are wearing headphones.

im

not saying I 'didnt get them', I just thought they were a bit shit. just one long noise, I went to see them as my friends work colleague recommended them we both thought they were meh. its like they were building up the atmosphere for nothing, after about 10 minutes it got boring. made most of the crowd disperse too. (I didnt see them here)
the reason i brought up 'artistic merit' is because even though i didnt like them i respect them for what they are doing.

ive

seen sunn o))) gotta say they were not good. maybe they had some sort artistic merit? but i wouldnt recommend them to anyone from what i saw.

good

point.
I suppose to believe the law was stupid you would have to first be conscious of it, and the defence would not be ignorance but not believing the particular law should exist.

if

3 people complain about strictly come dancing do you think they will apologise for it?

it

is a defence if the law is stupid.

yeh i

refuse to believe that more than 2 million people still watch shite like emmerdale and eastenders.
Someone did tell me how they got the viewing figures once, its done by a sample population and this proportion is extrapolated to the whole tv viewing population.
surely they can monitor on digital tv exactly what people watch.

mr

hudson and his library are ace live, seen them a few times and are very good. :D.

shouldnt

that be vip person, like pin number. :)

i

really like it. got it a few weeks ago, without ever hearing many of the originals (minus its5 and do the whirlwind.) Its 5 remix i really like and maybe you can owe me is cool. The rest is you're right a mixture of weirdness and in the right mood/time is amazing but at other times just seems a bit odd.

alrite

:) its cool you donate all the profits to shelter. rock on :D.

i

didnt think they were that amazing when i saw them live, but on record i really like.
precious time, run for your life, x-ray and fire fire are all ace songs. will hopefully see them on this tour to.

i

also only went in the first place as gay against you were supporting, but was surprised at rat:at:tag.

i

saw them with a stand in guitarist, but they were pretty good and noisy.they were headlining and only down point was they didn't have a particularly long set.

ratattagg

are worth seeing. lots of screaming 'rat a tag!'

btw

i find the neil Buchanan one really funny :D.

i

was wondering this the other day, but not with bands in mind. just famous people (or former famous people)
http://www.myspace.com/rolff
http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=17921645
there's hundreds of them, claiming to be the person in general.wouldn't you get sued if you set up a regular site claiming to be a person you aren't? and saying stuff which isn't true. whilst its funny, alot of people take their reputation seriously.
its like with bands, for most famous bands there is maybe 2 or 3 myspaces. maybe 1 of which is run by the band (or the label).
does that make sense?

some

of the stuff he used to write at playlouder- when i read it - was hillarious (in a good way)

i

didnt dig the album that much, as a whole album they just got a bit meh. never seen them live though.

the

who are ace live.

i

thought this said 'win tickets to shoes that are good.' and that you were giving away tickets for good shoes gigs :/.

everyone

buy the lemonheads album. it should at least be top 20.

good

article.

you

cant blame security, you can blame the company behind the security. The security is basically people like you and me (students lay abouts etc.) who just want a free ticket, minimal hassle and a little exta cash. there's no training involved, its literally - 'so you man this area 7, you man this area till 7 - right off you go good luck and come back here tomorow to get your cash.'

thats

a good point. The only people who know who is in which tent is perhaps the one or 2 tents surrounding them. And like someone said if they get caught going into someones tent at night they just say 'sorry wrong tent' and im sure that that must happen occasionally.

increased security

doesnt really help, its outsourced isn't it? and a few of them sell drugs as an extra earner. Just because there are more people wearing orange jackets doesnt make it any safer.
I say dont camp, or dont go and go to foreign festivals instead and up and coming ones. (like truck and latitude)

colin

should have drank the remainder of his pint like that surely?
And if you are bored read this
http://nofearofmusic.blogspot.com/

1.99 or 2.99

for each single that is.

oh

and also because albums are so cheap compared, although im sure that that debate has been going for some time.
whos going to spend 2.99 on 3 singles and a few crappy b sides when you can get the 3 singles and 9 or 10 other songs for the same or less price.

the

only reason that cd singles are dieing is because the singles that get widely distributed is saturated with crap like the latest x factor release or the latest release of the x factor person who came 2nd,3rd,4th,5th and 6th.

i

think at the time he said that neither cream or pink floyd had played yet.

er

cream?
id rather it was pink floyd.

i

think they will headline next years glastonbury. :D

i

havent been to benicassim but went to sonar which was absolutely awesome and mostly electronic and experimental based. there was a night and day festival, which was cool.
location is important as well for a festival.

i

think latitude was one of the best festivals ive been to since glastonbury in 99. Personally i think its bad to have a massive headliner because it means you get a whole different crowd going (people who are solely going for the headliner and arent interested in discovering new stuff during the day). have some dance stuff going on throughout the night if possible.
have some other artistic stuff going on as well. just copy latitude or truck, and avoid doing anything like reading/leeds and V.

you

are right there was constantly something cool and new on. and when there wasnt there was the comedy tent.

i

think that was jarvis cocker, the woods was in were the vip area/stage was. the music and film tent was cool throughout the day. noisettes doing the accoustic set in there was quality.
