Generally, once I start buying albums from a band I struggle to stop, even if I'm not convinced by the quality. Ash however, have not had any of my money for a while. And I certainly won't be buying their singles, either.

...though I quite liked their LP. Still, they do really annoy me.

The vocals are awesome, but probably the main reason this will not get anywhere. The riffs aren't complex, but are very catchy - quite a feat, really. Best Xmas release I've heard in a long time, oh yes.

...aren't there already laws in place to outlaw incitement to violence? Why does Brighton think it can dictate to the rest of the nation what is and isn't acceptable?

If you feel a show is going to violate the current legislation, then it can be stopped. There is no need for further, specific legislation like this, and it smacks of box-ticking on Brighton council's part.

I didn't like it much on first listen, but I've now decided that the whole thing has a lot to offer. Some great songs on here, definitely.

We put all the Arcade Fire loving students in Lenton, so of course its a shithole.

...just boring. But I agree, there are some good moments spread across their albums. I certainly don't hate them, and will listen to this with open ears. I suspect it will turn out like Ashcroft's solo stuff though, which was horrible.
