i only managed to catch

..the last 2 songs of their set as i was busy enjoying Aphex Twin too much to remember that Wavves had been playing for a while.
From what i saw was 2 tracks which didnt sound perfect soundwise before the drummer threw his drumkit and his sticks and stormed off. For which Nathan Williams was shouting at the drummer to come back etc. Obviously at the time i wasnt sure what was going on but they didnt look like they were getting along at all. Still it was something worth mentioning to my friends who were still watching Aphex Twin when i got back to the Rockdelux stage. Reading these articles this evening is bringing the story together slightly now.

i quite tempted to do the bournemouth bic gig

if their are any tickets left.
Wonder what all these new KoL fans with think of m83 though?

^ exactly this

I wasnt too fussed on seeing them again but alot of my mates wanted to and i figured there was nothing else really on at that time so i thought i might aswell go watch them. I had such a fun time and i forget how many brilliant songs they have.

Sunday was by far the best day bands wise with Sebastien Tellier, The Coral, Akron/Family, DrumEyes and Neon Neon to name a few. Other notable standouts were MBV (of course. Although not as good as at the Roundhouse) Jamie Lidell, and Kitty Daisy and Lewis.

I had a great time though. The mud and rain were a bit of a pain to begin with but by saturday i got pretty used to it.

should probably be down

for the Weymouth date.

in general it is the new bands stage

They've always made exceptions for the odd headliner etc. Even Billy Bragg also headlined this stage a few years back.
It would be silly putting an unknown band on at the same time as Metalica or Rage against the Machine as the majority of the Reading crowd would go for the big name.

im surprised

that nobody has mentioned 50 Year Old Man by The Fall yet!

Definitely one of the songs of the year IMO.

A) 'The Past Is A Grotesque Animal'?

is this all it takes to be in the hat??? hehe

he also said if ever you and your friends want free entry

"next time you want to see the band, anywhere, write me here".

I replied saying 'How about free entry to Reading festival?' tongue in cheek of course.
Ive still yet to get a reply.

i got a message from their tour manager

the day after the southampton cancellation saying they will promise to play southampton next time.
Where is it then??? Liars!

ironic story?

why the feck does this have to be in New York!!!?!

That line up is fecking amazing!

so far the line up doesnt impress me much

Besides Jeffrey Lewis and Of Montreal the rest i have either seen before or am not that fussed on seeing.

That documentary next week will be an interesting watch though.

who are they supporting at Southampton Uni?

I assume its a support slot as theyre playing the joiners 2 weeks later.

Happy happy dayz

:)))))))))

has it actually sold out????

Cos i am dead keen on going. My only exam is on the 20th, and would need people to go with obviously.

super

Duper

ah fuck!

No date in southampton or near abouts. Still yet to see them as well. Maybe a trip to brighton is in order.

i say this on here too soon

and it arrives the next day! Fun timez.

Joy!

I look forward to this.

Altho still, my copy of 'Bright Tomorrow' 7" still hasn't arrived. :(

Woohoo!!

New album would mean a UK tour next year?
Look forward to this.

agreed

As much as i love the nite versions stuff and although the remixes are fantastic, i will probably buy this though, just to have them all on one album.
It would be great to see soulwax come back with another more rock-y album, and ive yet to see them live playing the more indie stuff, whereas ive seen nite versions twice.
Lets hope they will do another traditional soulwax album soon.
