Yeah, the Beck video is probably the best among the nominees, and I'm not just saying that because I like him. Shynola are excellent creators.

I think, seriously, that in their Art Department at School there was a window made out of 72 Jam Jars, so they made a band name out of that fact.

M.I.A is really interesting. She won an independent art prize and is touring with LCD Soundsystem in the United States. Sunshowers samples a song by my favourite Disco Orchestral ensemble, Dr Buzzard’s Original Savannah Band.

But most importantly, I think she’s great.

Goodnight Goodnight didn't do too badly considering that it didn’t get as much airplay as other HHH singles, and that Elevator has already charted (1 place higher than Make up the Breakdown). I think they should release Island of the Honest Man.

I wish I could go- but hopefullt they'll come to Bristol and every other town and city in the UK. You can hear 'Island of the honest man' on their website- and it's really good. A little bit of a departure form Make Up the Breakdown- although I can't fully decide as it's only a clip.

Many people seem to think that people that dislike Busted are music snobs. I don't care much about where music comes from, as long as it's good. Even if it comes of the back of a lorry, which has just made its 1000th trip to the money- centric music factory- if it's good then its good. Sadly, with highly manufactured music of any kind, this is very rarely the case.

But Busted, writing their own songs and playing their own instruments were heralded by many to be more talented, more real and therefore better than other pop acts. I admit that these qualities needed talent and Busted did indeed have some talent. Why then did they make such god-awful and cheesy pop songs?

Their lyrics, albeit written by their fair and youthful hands, were terrible. It's not the fact, as some argue that they tried to be something else and kept it 'unreal'. It's not the fact that they appeared in Smash Hits magazine. They were simply, in my opinion, no disrespect, terrible. Their videos were horrendous and “Crashed the Wedding” was an over produced slice of hell. I didn’t think that lines such as “I messed my pants, when we flew over France” were witty. I thought they were cringe worthy.

I don’t like Mc Fly either, but I promise to try and give Fightstar a chance. I also honestly wish them luck- but do I need to? They must be quite rich.

I think this is terrible. Downloads should supplement CD's.

What will happen to b-sides? What will happen to great cd single artwork? What will become of merrily skipping down to your great, pokey old record shop and buying a single? What will happen to trying to hide godawful past single purchases from friends and relatives?

I still watch Videos and DVD's. I still buy Vinyl, download and every now and then buy a tape. I take photos with black and white film and colour.

I think that this is a fairly joyous list, but I still prefer the DiS 2003 list.

I'm glad that Art Brut have returned with another good single.

That article is completely wrong. John Peel had Bob Marley in session a few years before he hit the mainstream. Plus, John Peel's show wasn't about finding new music and making it famous. It was simply finding new music.

This band have been around since the 80's, but I'd never heard of them before this. I'll have to listen to some of their older stuff before I can make my mind up.

I think they probably got loads of great demos, which kept on flooding in right up to the deadline, so they extended the deadline so that everyone could take part.

I kind of feel bad for them. But Tokyo Dragons, Portobello and The Holiday Plan all hit The Top 75 on Sunday- which isn't too bad.

I agree. Twee or not Belle and Sebastian are an amazing legendary band. I think there's a Books E-card somewhere that people can listen to.

I've seen the video to their single on MTV2. The song and the video are both really good. Secret Machines= post exam loveliness.

I think the Walkmen's Album is much better than this. There's so many great tracks on here and they're all catchy.

I really like Kiss of Life. It should have been Top 20.

Now I have to stay up even later to listen to John Peel. But it's worth it. It's good to see Mike Davis at a better time. I think Zane Lowe is good- but he had enough radio space already. I feel kind of bad for Dave Pearce, even though I didn't like him much.
